Since the beginning of the most recent uprising by the cowardly Islamic world, we have repeatedly been told by their apologists that Muslim attacks on the civilized world are merely a continuation of their response to the Crusades. They insist the Crusades are the moral equivalent and justification for jihad.
The accompanying video, featuring Bill Warner PhD, demolishes this lie in a well-constructed 5 minutes presentation. Dr. Warner uses simple and effective graphics showing us the HUGE disparity in the number of battles initiated by the Christian Crusaders and those made by the loathsome Islamists since the 7th century.
The truth jumps right off your monitor. There is simply no comparison. You will notice that from 640 onward, during one twenty year period after another, until the first half of the nineteenth century, the Islamists attacks on civilization continued unabated then suddenly stopped. No, it is an Islamist lie perpetrated by 0bama, IIRC.
Perpetrated/perpetuated: what difference does it make?
I just found out yesterday this is being taught to my daughter in her “Honors Global History” class.
When I suggested the story may be a little different than what she’s being told, she said “are you calling my teacher a liar.”
She’s a freshman, age 14.
Jihad has always been expansionist in nature. It was the drive through the Eastern Orthodox Byzantine Empire that finally brought a response from the Christians of Europe, and provoked the first of the Crusades. As it turned out, the First Crusade, called in 1095 by Pope Urban II, had as its objective the recapture of Jerusalem, which had been part of the initial conquest of the Levant in the Seventh Century by the Muslims. This was followed by eight more Crusades, most of which were only marginally successful, to attempt to secure lands that had been previously acquired by Islam, and establish a series of treaties involving travel in the Middle East, allowing pilgrims to visit the Holy Land.
Islam has never accepted the concept of coexistence, and the only sensible position to take with this infestation is containment and subjugation, if not outright annihilation. It’s them or us, and I am pretty much on the side of “us”.
A lesson that has to be kept being repeated generation after generation. Islam is a very abrasive neighbor.
