MSNBC host Ed Schultz told his audience Monday night that he was disturbed by the film American Sniper and to him, the film represented a harsh reminder that soldiers were sent to war over under false pretense.
The Ed Show host began his opening monologue about American Sniper by noting that the film serves to highlight some of the most disturbing consequences of this war.
Here is Schultzs show monologue about American Sniper:
It humanized the struggle of soldiers returning from combat with post-traumatic stress disorder. It also serves as a harsh reminder that soldiers were sent to war under false pretense at least, thats how I took it.
The movies success might suggest that Americans are hungry for a hero in the never-ending fighting in the Middle East.
However the real Chris Kyle was far more complicated than the hero portrayed in Eastwoods movie.
In his autobiography, Kyle described the enemy as savages and despicably evil.
Kyle said his only regret is that he didnt kill more. Kyle even described killing as fun and something he loved to do. Simply put: Kyles version of the Iraq war was black and white....

I bet Ed’s ex wives were disturbed every time he beat them

“People (I have to include Ed in that definition, don’t I) sleep peacefully at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf” comes to mind.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Ed must have been half crocked because that's not what I took away from seeing the film on Sunday night.
"...Kyles version of the Iraq war was black and white..."
It is black and white unless you believe in moral relativism.

Of course Schultz is disturbed by the film “American Sniper”
This film single handily destroys the Left’s entire narrative for their anti War On Terror propaganda and agitation strategy used to undermine our efforts to defeat radical Islam over the last decade.

If Schultz can’t stand behind our troops, he should stand in front of them
Personally I think they should treat him and Michael Moore to a paradrop into ISIS territory

Was Ed disturbed when he watched ISIS behead Americans?
Was Ed disturbed when he watched Muslim terrorists slaughter innocent people in France?
Was Ed disturbed when he watched Muslin terrorists bring down the twin towers?
Was Ed disturbed when a muslim terrorist murdered two police officers in NYC?
I don’t remember Ed saying these things disturbed him!
