In Cuba, street marches have historically been government-orchestrated events or dissident protests that are swiftly crushed by the authorities. So it was downright startling when, in May 2007, Fidel Castros niece sauntered down the street with a small army of drag queens waving gay pride flags.
Long before the Obama administration announced a dramatic shift in Cuba policy on Wednesday, asserting that isolating the island had failed, a couple of Western governments with close ties to the United States saw the potential to help gay Cubans, even though it meant working with a prominent member of the Castro family. Havanas first observance of the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia marked the beginning of a remarkable evolution of gay rights in the most populous country in the Caribbean, a region where hostile attitudes toward sexual minorities remain the norm.

Brilliant! </sarc>
The worst part for the left this is enough reason to normalize relations. Liking or disliking fags is their primary litmus test.
Seems to be one of Zero’s qualifying issues. If you want to be a friend of the U.S.G. (United States of Gomorrah) go homo.

Castro interned homosexuals and practicing Catholic leaders in forced labor concentration camps, the "Cuban gulags"
Humberto Fontova interviewed the few people still alive who interacted with Che and can tell the truth about him, while overturning the myths and legends. In this book you'll learn:
- How Che longed to destroy New York City with nuclear missiles. (So why does Angelina Jolie sport a Che tattoo, while denouncing violence as a U.N. ambassador of goodwill?
- How Che promoted book burning and signed death warrants for authors who disagreed with him. (So why did Jean Paul Sartre praise him as a "perfect" man, and why did Time Magazine name him one of the 100 most influential people of the century?)
- How Che made amazingly racist statements about blacks. (So why do Jesse Jackson, Jay-Z, and Mike Tyson say nice things about him?)
- How Che persecuted gays, long-haired rock and roll fans, and religious people. (So why do Carlos Santana, Madonna and Johnny Depp think he's so cool?)
- How Che, the devoted Communist, loved material wealth and private luxuries. (So why do the mainstream media still depict him as an ascetic?)
You knew there had to be something in this for Obama.
Years ago, Castro's Lesbian sister left Cuba for the US. If done today, only a gay "marriage" to any American would suffice for American citizenship.
