House Budget Bill’s Funding Nightmare
http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/68272 ^ | 12/11/14 | Douglas V. Gibbs

What is going on in the House right now betrays every American citizen who voted for a change in irresponsible governing

The 2014 Midterm Election was a historical rejection of President Barack Obama, and the policies of the Democrat Party.

The strategies of the Republican Party always seems to be to vote away any leverage they may have in future debates, by giving in to too many of the liberal left Democrat Party’s demands, and voting for bills or resolutions that are a longer term than they should be in regards to their best interests, while trying to give us the illusion they are doing something about this President’s lawlessness (like Boehner’s lawsuit regarding Obama’s illegal amnesty proclamation). In other words, from the floors of Congress, you are supposed to try to get what you want long-term, but anytime you give in on something you do it for short-term. The GOP always seems to do the opposite. They gave away their leverage in 2012, and they have done it again in 2014. They are scared to death of the Democrats using the words “Government Shutdown,” so they run in circles, and then cower in the corner under the verbal lashings they receive by their Democrat Party counterparts.

I’m done voting for these clowns. I will vote locally. These guys are all in it together. If we had real leaders Obama would have been frog marched out of Washington by now. There is no point in supporting this dirt bag GOP anymore.

"...voting for bills or resolutions that are a longer term than they should be in regards to their best interests..."

And they always expire at the least opportune times, giving rinos cover for not attacking them.

This was the vote on the rule, which preceded the Budget. The swine that voted for the Rule, could always vote no on the budget, then claim to be conservative because they ultimately voted against the final bill!

Check out your congress critter, if he/she voted yea on this rule (the "test vote"), they are liberal no matter what they claim!

Anyone voting in favor of a $1.1 Trillion "budget" over and above the 17 Trillion we are already in debt, is NO conservative and no friend of yours!

Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"
I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.

I said the same thing, yesterday....the ones who voted for this thing to even come to the floor are biggest traitors. As you said, they could then vote NO on the actual budget bill.

Shameless traitors, all.

I’ll just send them a copy of the roll call vote, and some carefully chosen words, the next time they solicit a donation.
