Jimmah gave us the current administration in Iran. He's been a puppet of the Saudis via the Cahtah Centah at Emory U.
He's not the traitor like the present occupant of the WH but he did the US few favors.

“Maybe I’m really uninformed... but can’t it be blasted into the farthest reaches of outer space?”

I suppose so, but not being a scientist, I don’t know. AND we’ve pretty much shut down our space program. Obama has dedicated it to muslim outreach.

can’t it be blasted into the farthest reaches of outer space?

Rocket launches do not have perfect records. Exploding in the atmosphere to spread debris across the country is too great a risk.

I thought of that, too.

With all the effort put into the idea of ‘recycling’, it’s strange these wiz kids can’t think of a constructive way to repurpose nuclear waste.

Humans... smart enough to harness nuclear energy but not smart enough to figure out what to do with the waste.

Maybe, but the canisters for shipping terrestrially were tested by t-boning using a freight train, and surpassed with flying colors. I then wonder how much damage a failed rocket could do to such canister. But agree, one failure could spread radiation over a large area, in effect, becoming a nice “dirty weapon” we dumped on ourselves.

It can be reprocessed. It is in France, Japan, Russia, etc.

But they don’t succumb to the fear-mongering environMENTALists.

—and thanks to years of anti-nuke propaganda by nearly every “news” source in Nevada, this will be the state’s battle of the century—

So we should support GE because they have done such good things for the conservative cause ?

So your next article will be supportive of GS ?

Can this be done by Congress alone or can Obama veto it some way, or issue an executive order against Yucca use. If he can’t do anything, great, go for it. And what a wonderful way to stick it to Harry Reid at the same time.

Not to mention the quite enjoyable sense of payback to Harry Reid.

An even better idea is inside a mountain in the desert in Harry Reid’s home state.

Reid is motivated by greed. He thinks it will lower his land value. He could care less about the environment.

Open up the Yucca Repository, and rename it the Harry Reid Memorial Dump.

Damn straight they should.

And, we could take nuclear excesses from other countries...like Iran.
