Right. That is why he took the temps at an altitude on Venus where the pressure was 1k millibars (same as the pressure on the surface of the Earth).

Take away the increase in temps due to solar proximity, and the temps are equal to Earth's.

Mind. Blown.

Yes, but what might be interesting is to find out that anywhere in our Solar System where the pressure is the same as sea level on Earth, the temperature is about the same.
