Earlier today I wrote about the way the official Obamacare website has apparently recruited people to post thousands of comments each, creating the appearance of mass support, a variant on the traditional astroturfing strategy of creating bogus grassroots organizations.
Big Fur Hat of iOTW Report has spotted what looks very much like a Craigslist ad recruiting trolls to post positive or negative comments on left-wing or conservative websites, respectively. The text in full, as well as a screen capture (in case the ad is removed), follow:
We are a large social activism organization that advocates on behalf of issues including the environment, human rights, animal welfare, social justice, politics and more. We are seeking part-time interns who are interested in working on these important causes. Interns will improve their writing and research skills, while building a broad portfolio of online writing samples.
Interns are given broad discretion in choosing the causes they work on. The time commitment is flexible and work can be done from anywhere with an Internet connection. Applicants should have a strong interest in activism and possess good writing and Internet skills, but prior activism experience is not required.

How to recognize a Troll
On most social media sites you have a number of different types of trolls.
The Dumb Troll:
The most common troll is the troll that is absolutely totally ignorant of the facts. If I did not know better, I would say that can’t even read, but they do post. He/she troll uses hate speech, quotes MSNBC talking points, has a limited vocabulary, poor writing skills, and generally when questioned about their comments, they cannot respond. These trolls will die a trolls death of always being ignorant of the truth. You can’t save the stupid.
The Educated Troll:
The second most common troll to show up on social media sites is the educated troll. This person is actually educated but is on the never-ending-government-dowel and is always trying to justify their lost cause and existences. For example: a teacher that is a member of the Union is always trying to defend their egregious pension fund increases and salary increases as deserving and justified more than educating your children. Sad to say, a two by four across the head will not help them. However, I am optimistic and there may be hope for these people. After Governor Walker was able to eliminate collective bargaining for the 64,000 teachers in the state, 41,000 of the teachers decided to not pay the once mandatory Union dues. A great victory for Governor Walker and those teachers. The sad part is that 24,000 Union Teacher are still voluntarily paying their Union dues for nothing. Absolutely nothing in return. These are lost souls that the devil has tricked and has consumed. These trolls are now listed as Dumb Trolls.
The George Soros Trolls:
These professionally paid trolls are the worst. Luckily there are not many of them and you can spot them very easily. They are full time trolls that lurk in the dark waiting for an opportunity to unload a plethora of tools at an unsuspecting conservative. They use cue and paste tools like a Japanese Jensu knife expert. Nobody types that fast. Not even Superman. So when you are being swamped with paragraphs of liberal socialist double-talk without even sending one 5 word response, chances are you are being hacked by a George Soros Troll. These are the trolls you need to booth off the site. Make them earn their silver pieces. Yet, these trolls are the easiest to piss off especially if you too are an expert at cutting and pasting. Like me.
I hope this help you recognize and filter out some of the trolls that come on this site.

It is not a variance, it is exactly the same that occurred before the Obamacare was passed. It is SEIU members.
Before the law was passed, I noticed a pattern of similar letters, with just the names or relationship changed, being posted on our local paper LTE page.so I did a search for SEIU /Bellingham / Obamacare, or something close to that. What I came up with was a post on the Democrat Underground asking for SEIU members to show up at the SEIU office to write letters in support of Obamacare. The post gave the address and telephone number for people to call for more information.
I’m also gonna guess that “cue and paste” actually means CUT and paste. :-D
No question about it. There are s few to be sure but some of the sycophants are just quadrupling down because their ego refuses to allow them to admit their long screamed positions are why America is in the mess it is.
They have grown increasingly shrill and arrogant and I find that lately, they go to the grade school stuff almost immediately whenever they are called on their drooling devotion.
Another recent tactic is to just pretend the crush of people posting factual information are invisible and simply ignore said factual posts while lying through their teeth to keep the agenda moving steadily ‘forward’.

The dowel one got me the most. That’s not a typo. That is using the wrong word.
Is it “bold faced lie” or “bald faced lie”? :-P
