I going to get flamed for this:
I’m guessing that many on this site are more small-town and rural people while too many lefties are from urban areas.
Most of us urban America folks-I’m a conservative from the Bronx NOW living in Texas—come across to many as rude due to our blunt nature, arrogance, loud tone in our voices and using rather colorful language.
Due to my upbringing , I can go mano-to-mano with the left at any time, on any topic ,NEVER giving ground and dismissing their rudeness as ignorance.
Never shy away from a rude lefty......never leave a conversation with a lefty and give as good as you get.....
I speak from experience with urban lefties...
Le Chien, I get your point because I've been north many times. But when the liberal is a close family member it gets more problematic. My daughter, the professor, is impossible. I have to keep quiet in order to keep her. It's not easy believe me, because I am very opinionated.
1.) An armed society is a polite society.
2.) You don't know if he is packing, so assume that he is.
3.)If you are going to be a two-bit Liberal peckerwood, chances of getting into a road rage gun fight are geometrically greater on I-35E in Flower Mound than on the Henry Hudson Parkway.
It may be something to remember, now that you're in flyover country. I've known any number of Eastern Idiots who have haven't understood this until the first time they see a bulge behind a hip. It's sobering. It's also why Leftist college professors in Denton would rather key a car than get in someone's face.
It's the unspoken thinking back of Midwestern courtesy. It's also why libs are opposed to CCW.
That’s an interesting theory. I’ve lived in the NE all of my life, and city-dwellers can come across as rude to small-towners.
But, I’ve noticed that, when the talk turns to politics, small-towners can be just as boorish. Some people cannot talk politics in a civil manner. They have to make personal attacks.
Some of the comments here on this forum make me cringe sometimes. But, the Left takes it to extremes - no matter where they live.
