That, plus their most dependable voting bloc, the blacks, did not turn out in sufficient numbers.
I watched some of MSNBC last night, and the Rev. Al actually said something cogent. He said that you've got to turn people ON before you can turn them OUT. In other words, the Dems did nothing to excite their black base to get them to turn out for a midterm election.
I’d say that the reason is... most Americans will choose who to stand with.
It you have a group of opposite people standing on both sides of the road... one side is communists, queers, drag queens, illegals, atheists, lifelong welfare recipients, most of hollywood, rappers... people like Charles Manson and your local 30 year-old unemployed pot smoking occupy hippie.
On the other side you have soldiers, Christians, NRA members/gun owners, traditional families... people like the Robertsons, Ted Nuggent, little old ladies holding green bean casseroles.
Now which side do you choose to stand with?
The other part is that the “Liberals” made Republican = Racist. I think we may be seeing some tediousness in the constant default to rayciss.
White guilt may have been replaced with racism fatigue?
I think there are more than a few that thought they fully assuaged their white guilt by electing Obama,
then felt ripped off because the accusations ramped up instead of fading away.

We all need to contact our representatives and senators, regardless of party and demand that they oppose anything that smacks of amnesty. Remind them that compromising with bad policy is like adding a little sewage to your drinking water.

I sometimes go to the MB convention center for FREE shows when I get the coupons for them. One time I went to a show featuring rums of the Caribbean with representatives from the various islands at the exhibits. I was able to pick up LARGE bottles of rum there for only about eight bucks each.
And now that I am thinking about it, will check the web to see if there are any coupons for FREE entry to any upcoming shows there.
p.s. I could be wrong but I believe that more political party conventions have taken place there than any other site.
The next LCMS national convention will be in 2016, and it will be in Milwaukee. I have already suggested a convention theme: Milwauking Together.
I notice a lot of LCMS activity in big beer cities... Milwaukee, St. Louis, Fredericksburg, TX, etc.
The inference, of course, being that Democrats and liberals are very aware that they are extremists who hate businesses and want a weak America.
Gee, I wonder why that wouldn't win elections?
