I believe in the timeless ideals that once made America the "last, best hope of mankind"! I denounce any form of intrusive and unilateral government that does not serve the rights and will of the people. I believe "We the People" can accomplish anything when liberty, hard work and accountability are non-negotiable. We can reform healthcare, without denying individual liberty and caving in to highly inept and wasteful socialized medicine. We can honor legal immigration, the promise that is America, without abandoning our borders and sovereignty. We can reward hard work and private enterprise, the innovative spirit of industry, instead of encouraging envy, dependence and excuses. We can reform entitlement programs, the 50 million on welfare, without denying those with real disabilities the necessary assistance needed to live in dignity. We can embody the fight for equality, fairness, without succumbing to rogue feminism, race baiting, and victimization propaganda. We can protect a child's right to be born, without denying women and men the choice to consider the inherent responsibilities of having sex. We can teach our children to respect and properly use guns, the right to bear arms, without having to become an unarmed statistic of violent crime. We can honor religious liberty, our founders' indelible belief in God, without allowing the barbaric tenets of Islamic law to infiltrate our communities and legal system. We can hold government accountable for a litany of failures, abuses and runaway debt, instead of allowing duplicitous politicians to blame others with divisive and destructive politics.
These are not radical concepts; they are the common sense principles liberals have systematically attacked and eroded with their backwards and selfish agenda. It's time for responsible and competent leaders who actually care about America, her heritage, and the people to rise to the forefront of our government and show that integrity, hope, and progress are not just bankrupt promises used to cajole the public under a blanket of radicalism and deception. I believe in God, the Bill of Rights, our military, capitalism and limited government. I believe in America!
Success needs God to be raised above the status of what He is too often taken for now, i.e. a mascot.
And even yet perspective needs to be kept if success is seen. The result will be a witness to God in this sinful world. It won’t last forever; we have no promise it will and we have warnings that it won’t.
Or rather than raised, I should say acknowledged as. We can’t make God any higher than He is, obviously. But we can acknowledge Him as higher than what we have been.
Lovely thoughts. I wish I could agree.
The problem is that We the People are not who we used to be. Liberal dominance for decades of the media and entertainment has succeeded in changing the culture and therefore the People.
Well stated!!! Thank you.
I agree 100%! We can do all those things. If you think the ballot box has anything to do with it you are seriously delusional.
Excellent writing. Not many could put this together this well. It says everything that needs to be said. Thank you.
Silly, idealistic patriot.
Me too.
It will take curing a lot of insanity before the course can be reset for liberty.
I personally hope for the leftists to back down when they see that their end may come in violence with extreme prejudice, but I’m afraid millions of us are going to die before we get past this impending implosion.
That part should at least give the greenies something to celebrate, though I don’t believe any of them will survive.
Very welcome and thank you!
Much appreciated!
I agree. We have much work to do in order for America to once again embody these ideals, but I always remain hopeful. I’d rather try, even if in vain, than to capitulate to liberalism.
I copied the post and pasted it in an email to friends/relatives with a note that it was from a poster on FR and I thought it was excellent. Some have asked me if I wrote it and I do believe they know I couldn’t do what you did...also proves they didn’t read my note... All thought it was excellent also.
Thank you so much. Much appreciated!
