So, the Universities power to disregard the state constitution was pared back a little.

The University executives want their own personal kingdom, where they have significant power, and they want it expanded, not limited.

Why not? They have their on PD that needs to be kept busy w/ something. Guess they could keep some dogs around to release for training exercises....but that just isn’t nearly enough for the wannabe statist and his mall cop army.

:: The law specifically allows the University to continue to prohibit open carry of firearms on University property. Open carry of firearms on University property is a violation of the Board of Regents and University policy. ::

This begs the question; does the policy of the University and BoR have the the “force of law” by reference? If yes, then that policy is contravened by the Second Amendment of the USC.

penalties for the possession of firearms by a convicted felon

This is an infringement of the 2nd Amd of the US Constitution so long as the convicted felon is not incarcerated and thus subject to the permissible slave labor provision of the US Constitution.

Have a "Campus Day of Action". Follow the campus rent-a-cops around, and phone in 9-11 reports on them, because they're carrying guns.

Be vague on their clothing, that's all. :)

University faculty are exactly the same, as are the paper-pushing bureaucrats.

And it’s identical throughout the US, not just in Idaho.

Dorschel said any firearm sighting is grounds to call 911 even if a person is not purposely showing their weapon. He said firearm holders have a responsibility to conceal their weapons and they are violating the university's policy if they don't.

Oooh, "university policy"! Because any violation of university policy merits a call to 911, and because taxpayer-paid cops are there to enforce "university policy". Moron.
