TUSTIN A quiet, residential Old Towne street was greeted with an unfamiliar sight Tuesday morning after an emu escaped its home and ran into traffic before returning safely.
Police officials responded to a call of a loose ostrich or emu around 11:25 a.m. in the 300 block of 6th Street.

I have a friend who raises ostriches in South America. Emus are related, known as ratites as they do not have a sternum and cannot fly. He raises them for food, then tans their hides for other purposes. Nothing is wasted. Quite an operation. Thank you for the post. The void has engulfed the nullness, but no amount of voidness could nullify it.

I bought fresh ground emu from a meat packer in CA. Okay for taste but I will stick to beef.
My dogs love emu bones though, much softer than beef bones.
