In scenes that seemed all too familiar, the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old by a police officer triggered protests, vigils and calls for investigations Thursday.
But while the raw emotions around the Wednesday night shooting of Vonderrit D. Myers Jr. in the Shaw neighborhood Wednesday evening evoked comparisons to the shooting two months earlier of Michael Brown, there are key differences between the two cases, according to initial reports.
Brown was unarmed when he was shot by a Ferguson police officer on Aug. 9 on a street near the Canfield Green apartments. St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson said Myers fired three shots at the officer Wednesday before the officer opened fire in the 4100 block of Shaw Boulevard.
Family members said Myers did not have a weapon, but police said a weapon was found at the scene. Myers was awaiting trial on a weapons case from June, police and his lawyer confirmed Thursday....

Paging Don Lemon...
oops, wrong script as well.
Isn’t interesting the way the whore media reports stuff.
Anytime a reference is made to Brown it is always preceded by UNARMED. In this case the “teen” was definitely ARMED, yet the headline fails to mention that.
“Dat’s muh babeee! He ain’t neva dun hert nobodee!”
"Anytime a reference is made to Brown it is always preceded by UNARMED."Yes, but he wasn't unarmed. He was "armed" in the original sense of the word - with his arms and fists and he was fully capable of murder with them.
but but but it was not lawful for him to have a gun so the statement he had one must be in error.

His momma said he was unarmed and that’s good enough for me.

For clarity, they should say he was “armless”...unless, of course, he had prosthetic arms. Poor unarmed gentle giant.
The tragic part about both the Trayvon and Michael Brown cases is how they were made out to be about racism, and not media responsibility. In both cases, the media's first reports ("He was just a young lad returning home with candy!" "He was on his knees with his hands up, pleading 'Don't shoot!'") were laughably wrong. But instead of owning up and admitting their first impressions were incorrect, the media just kept hyping the BS, firing people up, inciting turmoil and riots, all just to cover their butts.
And then just moving on, whistling and unscathed, to the next completely BS story.
Subhuman thug.
Harvard man.
Once the race hustlers are finished with the police making so they can’t force, they are going to turn on the white gun owners of America.
You know, so they can’t defend themselves either.
I didn’t say it would work, I said they would try.
Said with nary a smirk.
