Christ is the Redeemer, the antichrist is the Enabler..there is a diffrence
Catholics get bashed every day for being a “works based religion” (which we’re not).
Given this though, why would anyone think the Pope is extolling some kind of Once Saved Always Saved mentality here?
It makes no sense. The Catholic Church (and its Pope) can’t both teach “works based salvation” AND Once Saved Always Saved.
Even though both are false at least pick one to trash the Church with.
One of those “Salvation Cults” owned that ferry that sank in South Korea, the head of the cult was the subject of a manhunt until they found his body, but several of his family are in prison now.
Their cult basically said you can sin all you want after you are saved, because once saved always saved.
“Yes, we are all sinners.”
Yup, standard refrain from liberals - “you are forgiven”. They also ALWAYS leave out the next sentence “sin no more!”
‘But the notion that I can live as I wish, committing one sin after another, and that this is somehow “okay” because Jesus “walks with me” is erroneous.....he presumes upon God’s almighty power or his mercy (hoping to obtain his forgiveness without conversion and glory without merit)’
This is basically the Calvinist view, Methodists seem to love it.
Screw/spew all you want, as long as you also talk about Jesus, you are good! Never mind how incredibly disrespectful it is to know the rules of God and NOT follow them.
