Russia practicing nuke attacks on America from Canada

Media hound “Selfies’ like Obama and Cameron should be booed off the world stage, forced back to the work they were elected to do: Protection of the people of the U.S, Britain

While Selfie Supremos President Barack Obama and Prime Minister David Cameron were hosting NATO showbiz, complete with a flyover and kingly feast at Cardiff Castle, last Thursday and Friday, guess what the Russians were doing?

Two Russian strategic bombers were conducting practice cruise missile attacks on the United States of America at the same time the NATO summit was being held in Wales.

The Obama/Cameron NATO flyover was for show. Putin’s nuclear bombing practice for cruise missile attacks is for real.

“The Russian Tu-95 Bear bombers were tracked flying a route across the northern Atlantic near Iceland, Greenland, and Canada’s northeast.” (freebeacon.com, Sept. 8, 20140)

That’s a lot closer to home than the globe-trotting Obama was.

The aircraft doesn't seem all that concerning. It's a prop plane made in the 50s for goodness sakes. Maybe I am being too optimistic, but with its size and noise how could these even get within range of the US?

In fact Bear can outrun most of the modern jet airliners and beats them in range too. It is rather close to B-52 in capabilities.

More like a symbolic “launch” button as it turns out.

Can't be, the bitter Left said that Reagan and Thatcher were leading the world to nuclear war.

LBJ said the Goldwater was gonna do it.

Barack Obama is part of the ZERO initiative to diminish our nuclear arsenal down to zero.

So much for Peace Through Strength.

PS the Russians almost launched a mutually assured destruction attack in the early 1980s but the man at the button refused the order (a false positive launch signal had come in and he said that nothing in world events at that time were likely to see the US launch on the USSR). Russia later installed a doomsday device that will detect a nuclear attack on Russia and automatically send a return volly on the US (it is still active folks) to remove the human element. Now if the Islamists were to detonate in Russia, they could get the Russians to launch at US/EUSSR...

Those old airframes can launch some very modern weapons. I assure you of that. And I’d remind you that the vaunted B-52 was built right around the same time. It still works pretty damned well.

i agree. with modern long range standoff weapons the air frame isn’t as important. i wonder if some of this is to intimidate the Canadians considering the russians and Canadians are getting active in the arctic again.
