Funny enough, back in the 70s Jimmy Carter got dissed by Breznev (sp) and it was apparant that official communiques were being responded to by a 4th rate Kremlin apparatchik.
So ol’ Jimmy decided to fire up the hotline. Which got the Sov’s attention. Basically they came back with: ok, we’ll stop playing around with you, please don’t ever do that again.

As a senator, Obama was held on the plane while he was there.

Not until the SHTF will the country want real leadership. The country is largely OK with an empty suit at the top as long as their comfort, shopping and entertainment are not jeopardized. But if things continue to deteriorate at the present pace, we may be getting close to a tipping point.
