The supposed impact of global warming on the Gulf of Maine over the past decade has hit a multitude of media outlets. Example: takeWeather.com’s article Global Warming Is Changing the Gulf of Maine, Imperiling Its Lobster, Fish Catch. According to the article, Gulf of Maine temperatures were marching along with the global average from 1982 to 2004, but then over the past decade, starting in 2004, the Gulf of Maine began warming at a rate that was 10 times faster than the previous rate.

So let’s take a look at the sea surface temperature data for the Gulf of Maine, and see what story they have to tell....

Overfishing by foreign and domestic fleets couldn’t possibly be a factor? /S

Imperiling Its Lobster, Fish Catch

Crapolla.
We're spending a week at Bar Harbor Maine in October - in the process of contacting businesses and setting up our vacation time we asked if the lobster will be plentiful. The answer?
"Bumper crop".

I thought the recent complaint was a glut of lobster?

There has been a glut of lobsters the past few years. Prices are way down, and we’ve been having it more often.

Everyone has been saying that this has been a cold year for swimming in our part of Maine (Penobscot Bay).

And there have been very few hot days over the course of this summer—quite unusual.

the article fails to tell you that there is more than one nuclear reactor in that gulf. If any warming has occured, how much of it is related to hot water being pumped out of the reactors?

I spent some time on a scientific boat taking temps, PH, and studying the estuary prior to the firing up of the reactor in NH so that comparisons could be made.

The myth of man-made global warming obscures those changes.

BTW, I see that lobsters are cheaper now than they were back in the mid ‘90’s. Back then even, I had friends who did scuba diving, and there was no shortage of lobsters despite the claims.

This is obviously "Climate Change", which is the new Big Lie.

By rebranding Global Warming as Anthromorphic Climate Change, the Left can point to ANY subtle variation in temperature as "human caused", and justify a Bolshevik theft from the "Evil Corporations".
