A recent fact check from the Michigan Truth Squad, a project of the Center for Michigan, takes a look at an ad from Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mark Schauer attacking Gov. Rick Snyder. In its analysis of K-12 state funding, the truth-checkers state, In his first year in office, Snyder approved a budget that resulted in school funding $930 million lower than the previous year.
For the Record: The Truth Squad cites a Senate Fiscal Agency report, but they do not include $455.5 million in additional state funding used for best practices and retiree benefit costs. That amount is listed in the report cited, but is not mentioned in the write-up. According to the report, including all state funding shows that the amount spent on K-12 education increased by $285 million in Gov. Snyders first year.
liberals do don’t they?
Apparently nobody at the reno gazette urinal checks the fact checker here.
The political fact checkers are often driven by liberal ‘fact-checkers’. Politifact is operated by, among others, the Tampa Bay Times and the Austin American-Statesman. Both papers are heavily liberal in both their newsroom and their editorial policies. Thus, the subjective determinations of ‘fact’ is skewed to their viewpoint.
Here in Wisconsin Gov. Walker’s Dem opp. in the upcoming election, Mary Burke, is slamming Walker for supposedly Wisconsin being last in job growth among ten midwest states. The facts are Wisconsin is third best among midwest states for PRIVATE!!! job growth in the last three-four years. Of course, libs believe growing gov. is the best way to create jobs.
Same in Reno. It’s a gannett publication so we know where that goes.
