And for this, something presidents and governors practically do on a weekly basis, he is indicted on felony coercion charges by a heavily Democratic-laden, Austin grand jury?

Yep.

Integrity.

It's what puts the "grity" in the underwear of democrat politicans.

Can we indict Obama for misusing public funds for illegal immigration for political benefit and treason or using the IRS to target his enemies or sening funds to terrorists? And Rick Perry gets a 2 count indictment filed against him while the Prez would rack up far more serious charges and a helluva lot more of ‘em. Yeah we see what’s up.

In Austin, the FOX radio and local KLBJ news leads are stampeding over each other at the top, 15, 30, 45 of the hour to scream this news since noon. Literally, one feed will start screaming and once second later is interrupted by the other feed’s screaming.

Great White feeding frenzy.

A change of venue should be the first order of business for the defense. Democrats lack the ability to be honest, or make ethical decisions, and they are psychologically incapable of distinguishing between ideology and integrity.

Pretty much anyone with a law degree in Travis county thinks that everyone else in the state of Texas should be in jail.

This is standard democrat conduct in Texas : prosecutorial misconduct.

Apparently, the way I read it, Perry was allowed to veto the money. He just wasn’t allowed to SAY he was going to veto it.

Huh?

There’s another level of intrigue here. Travis County Democrats tied themselves in all sorts of ethical knots in their efforts to keep Lehmberg from losing her District Attorney job, even claiming that there was no violation of public trust for a sitting District Attorney to spend time in jail on a DWI conviction.

The reason the Democrats went to such extremes to keep Lehmberg’s job is because if she had been forced to resign or retire, the Governor of Texas would have been able to appoint the successor until the next general election. That would be none other than Rick Perry.

Perry would have naturally named a Republican for the post who would have then had access to tons of dirty documents meant for Democrat eyes only and could have abused the same indictment powers against Democrats the way Lehmberg and her predecessor, Ronnie Earle, have used them against Republicans.

Keep in mind that Ronnie Earle was the one who indicted Speaker Tom DeLay (convicted but overturned on appeal) and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (not convicted) and was also tied to false National Guard documents that Dan Rather used to try to steal the 2004 presidential election from George W. Bush.

As Paul Harvey said, now you know the rest of the story.

It is a well known axiom that any prosecutor can get a Grand Jury to indict a ham sandwich! An indictment is an ACCUSATION and is a perfect method for political assassination, as demonstrated by the Tom DeLay case, although that one went through to conviction before appellate overturn.

They(texas) needs to build a wall around that cesspool called Austin about 10 feet high and shoot the first bastard that climbs over it and everyone after that.

This is an old story in Travis county. The RAT D/A is just “Tom Delay-ing” the Governor.

I think this will make the Democrats look ridiculous. There is a video of the arrest of the DA for drunk driving, and it makes her look really, really bad. The video is easy to find, and it’s easy to see why Perry wanted her out. This charge is obviously political. It makes the Democrats look petty and mean-spirited. They are using the law to achieve a political end. And unlike the case of Tom Delay, it’s obvious what they are doing, and they look like amateurs.

Texas PING !!

There *may* be a few of these type “See what a crook Perry is” articles, from the crookeder crooks in Austin.

From another article:

“We’re happy,” said Craig McDonald of Austin, director of the nonprofit campaign reform group Texans for Public Justice. It filed the original complaint against Perry with prosecutors last year.

“The legal process is working as it should be,” said McDonald, who years ago worked for consumer safety advocate and future Green Party presidential candidate Ralph Nader. “The grand jury decided that Perry’s bullying crossed the line into law-breaking.”
