Afraid they will be few and far between. Have seen only one (an that one is a true FReeper) admit was wrong. A true FReeper will admit to being wrong when wrong ... (imho). Disagreements are good. Makes the site interesting but ... and being wrong is best admitted.
However, its just stupid to be dogmatically opposed to everything they do - we still need them if for no other reason than to keep the animals at bay, as they did in this case. Its their primary function.
Hey! I admitted I was wrong when I made that bet to that guy if those youths that assaulted that girl were black or not. I even ended up paying $20 to FreeRepublic as penalty for losing the bet.
On a thread earlier today, I admitted that I was wrong in my assessment from yesterday.
I also called out a couple of folks that tried to pass off a bogus arrest record yesterday and one guy who posted an incorrect picture of the officer involved in the shooting today.
I got trolled, gamed, accused of stalking and accused of attacking.
