As the war between Israel and Hamas enters its fourth week - the frenzied condemnation of Israel for exercising its inherent right of self-defence continues to dominate the media coverage of the conflict.
Ishaan Tharoor writing in the Washington Post wonders why:
“The world is transfixed by the conflict in Gaza, as the death tolls of both Palestinians and Israelis killed in the fighting continue to rise. It has animated global public opinion and sparked protests in myriad far-flung cities.

And with all this killing of Christians in the Middle East and Africa, and Jews again are being oppressed in Europe, Pope Francis has decided that waging war on the Italian Mafia is more important. Me thinks the Argentinian in the Vatican has his priorities out of whack.
Yeah....I thought he was going to go back in there and clean house and start setting up the foundational platform of why Christ is Lord and why standing up for Christianity is the right thing to do - instead - his priorities seem to be directed by others....which is disappointing!
