Mitt Romney in 2016?

The GOP Presidential rumor mill is ripe with dreams of Mitt Romney running again in 2016. Romney has turned out to be right about a number of issues, particularly on foreign policy. He was also right in predicting Obamacare would be a disaster. In 2014, Romney looks like the wise sage who warned us about what a second Obama term would look like. He even has 45% of the country believing he would have done a better job as President than Obama. Of course, it’s wishful thinking to believe Romney would run in 2016 and win. While 45% think Romney would have done a better job than Obama, that’s less than the 47% who voted for him.

Only way it will happen is if the Democrats nominate him.

Over my dead body- he’s a loser who already had all the chance he ever deserved.

The ball was teed up plenty high last time and he completely blew it, didn’t utilize the gifts Obama handed him, and had no strategy for dealing with electoral fraud.

Romney didn’t even seem like he wanted to run, can’t believe he hasn’t gone away already

Romney didn’t want the job in 2012. Doubt if he will in 2016. I certainly hope he doesn’t!!

Mittens is the ideal GOP candidate. A "moderate" who in conservative in nothing. He has a proven track record of losing (maybe pair him with McCain for the Republican dream ticket.) He stands for nothing. He won't dismantle or cut back any government programs. He can be counted on to keep the plunder flowing into Washington if he gets elected (which of course he won't). What's not to like from the republican extablichment point of view?

Let him run. Let a small fleet of RINOs run like they did in 1980 (H Baker, Bush, Dole, Connolly, John Anderson).

Romney was all out to fight GOP running mates only to surrender to Zero in last two debates and ran with his tail between the legs.
Thanks, but no thanks!

Romney can’t get the nomination as a retread. Cruz and Walker ensure a stronger roster to get the nomination. Romney would get Giuliani like numbers, winning only Utah and maybe NH.

Romney backed down about Benghazi. His campaign strategy was flawed....if he had campaigned in inner cities and gotten say 10-15% (the outliers, every population has them) it might've tipped a few states his way. However Romney talked around it, he supported the gov taking control of our bodies. Romney never shook the "corporate raider" aspect of his resume. He never articulated how average people without his background could achieve success.

He couldn't even campaign in MA, as it was a lost cause. Shouldn't that say something?

I'm not sure what a Romney presidency would look like. I would've preferred a culture in the WH that welcomed the likes of Donnie and Marie and Carrie Underwood instead of the treating Beyonce and JayZ like gods, which is probably the main reason I was sure Romney was better. People need to look up to a decent lifestyle if the US is ever going to recover.

I suspect the real reason Romney lost is he didn't have the fire, the message that told US citizens whose votes could've gone either way exactly how he'd uplift them. Just saying "better than Obama" isn't good enough to save the nation.

JMHO

I've been saying this for a while: Romney SHOULD run again.

Along with Jeb, Christie, Ryan, Rubio, and every other RINO who we can get to toss their hat into the ring.

We need to encourage these people to ALL run, and run to the bitter end, splitting the RINO vote into tiny pieces.

In the mean time, as conservatives, we consolidate around Ted Cruz and he walks through the primaries.

It's time to turn the tables on the GOPE, use their own tactic against them.

I’m angry at Romney, frankly. He could have won, if he’d had any good sense, any good team, if he’d drunk a bit of coffee, if he’d really cared a FIG. I did not think he did.
