I ask myself, where is my country? Can I have it back? Why must we destroy everything in order to satisfy the wishes of the ruling elite, the oligarchs in power, who are busy re-writing all our laws, inviting in corruption, lawlessness, and deceit. No matter what the regime says, those in power become more prosperous and acquire more power.

It’s over ... the Anti-Christ who sets up the one-world government, as told in the Bible ... is coming!
It's getting ever more difficult to argue against that. Anyone in a position to stop this madness doesn't want to, and those who want to are powerless apparently.
It’s the nature of mankind in general and government in particular. If the founding principles of our country were still taught in public schools, folks would realize many of founding fathers realized this and tried to create a system of checks and balances to moderate. Even so, Jefferson still felt that a little revolution once in while was a good thing.
But the bottom line, sustaining a democracy requires a Judeo-Christian worldview and ethical system. Those in control of every public institution have abandoned that. We’ve regressed to pagan worldview that has predominated in most cultures for most of history: no moral code required by any divine authority, life is cheap and expendable for personal convenience, the divine realm and nature are interconnected so natural things are to be worshiped, humans exist by accident or by meaningless whim of creative forces, individuals are unimportant and die to become part of an undistinguished “All” if they become anything, etc.
The decline didn’t suddenly happen. It’s been in process for decades since the early 60’s at least. Those who grew up with that worldview are now firmly in control of education, all branches of government, the media, and even mainstream religion. Short of something cataclysmic, they will not be rooted out. Those who profess Christianity and believe we are safe behind the Constitution are foolish. That’s a piece of paper which has vitality only so long as the consensus of society believes it should. And that’s fading.
The world descended into general violence, perversion, and selfishness before the last time it was destroyed. It’s not surprising to see that happening again, but at a faster pace due to advances in communication over the last 50 years.
We can speak out, but really all we can do individually is remember this life is temporary, and get ready for the next one.
That question was answered a long time ago. - Tom
"Look for it only in books, for it is no more than a dream remembered, a Civilization gone with the wind..."
That is while the books are still available. It was probably in someones email but a computer crashed.
Well said.
“Can I have it back?”
Not without a fight.
Start with the abuses of Presidential power in the Civil War. Add the 16th amendment giving us the income tax, and the 17th amendment giving us elected senators. Then Roosevelt. After that, nothing could prevent the growth of government power and, necessarily, the reduction of individual rights.
We went beyond the ballot box in Nov 2012. The conflict will be resolved but not through elections.
I think so too. We know the prophecy will be fulfilled. You gotta wonder why we would “go against” it. Its God’s word.
