This "grammatical quirk" is present in any Indo-European langauge, I believe. I wonder what rate of frustration they'd be in, once they spoke Russian, in which verbs conjugate by gender, making a speaker to indicate whether he/she is male or female.

In Chinese they basically don’t have pronouns so they use the word “he” for all genders. It makes it interesting when listening to a native Chinese speak English. They interchange “he” and “she” in their speech and, generally, have no idea they are doing it.
