All the Times President Obama Acted Just Like Your Dad, In Honor Of Father's Day

President Obama has been referred to as “Dad-In-Chief” on more than one occasion, and this Father’s Day will likely be no exception. Not only because he’s a devoted and vocal family man, but also because the president’s demeanor is very dad-like. Remember how, during his very first speech as president-elect, he announced that he’d finally given into his daughter’s pleading and acquired a family dog? And have you seen his choice of jeans? Or the way he pumps iron at the gym? There’s no doubt, Obama has most definitely earned his nickname.

Even President Obama’s political style has been inspired by fatherhood. Just see what the Washington Post wrote in 2011, after the president compared Republicans to disobedient children in a press conference:

Obama’s decision to embrace the dad role is squarely aimed — politically, at least — at independent and moderate voters who ultimately want to feel like the federal government is keeping its eye on the big picture.

So, in honor of this upcoming Father’s Day, let’s take a look back at all of the times over the past six years that Obama truly embraced the “Dad-In-Chief” moniker — regardless of whether or not he was doing it on purpose....

Good grief!

He’s nothing like my dad.

My Dad was a WWII Airborne combat-wounded vet, and an American Patriot through and through.

And he would spit on this clown were he alive today.

My father was the eldest and worked for other farmers as a hired man (starting at age 11) to help his family through the depression, then joined the CCC. After Pearl Harbor he joined the Marines and fought in World War II. Major battles included Saipan and Okinawa. In the Korean War he fought at the Pusan perimeter and later in North Korea. Early in the Vietnam War he was part of the team sent to survey South Vietnam for the troops that would follow. Show me one thing that Mr. Obama has done that compares.

Gee, I remember the time MY dad played golf with his body man while four Embassy officials (including an Ambassador) were slaughtered by Muslim militants.

“...Show me one thing that Mr. Obama has done that compares....”

That’s not possible to do, brother. Our fathers came from a generation of Americans that loved this country like they loved their lives. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of my Old Man and thank him for giving me the life he did.

RE Okinawa:
One of my Dad’s brothers was badly wounded on Okinawa, near Naha, during the fighting on the Shuri line.

Personally, I think military service should a Constitutional REQUIREMENT for being President. I’m sure there will be a hundred Freepers telling me why I’m wrong, but it changes nothing in my mind.

If you’re going to potentially send young Americans to fight and possibly die somewhere, you’d damned well better know what you’re doing, and have some experience.

I didn’t agree with everything Dubya did, but I respected the fact that he was a Fighter Pilot, and earned a level of respect that this assclown will NEVER get.

Oh, I know one, especially. He says the military are “mercenaries” and should get NOTHING after they leave the service. I’ve purposely forgotten his screen name.

My Dad was a professional athlete and a successful businessman. Not a marxist fag.
