More than 250 llegal immigrants, including woman and children, are in Border Patrol custody following a mass surrender just south of Granjeno.
The incident happened in an area known as "Rincon Village" just south of Shary Road in Granjeno around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
U.S. Border Patrol officials confirmed that a group of more than 250 illegal immigrants crossed the Rio Grande River and surrendered.
Another group of 100 immigrants surrendered in the same spot on Monday.
Border Patrol officials said the area has become a hot spot for illegal immigrant crossing.
Over the past few weeks, the Rio Grande Valley has seen a record number of illegal immigrants from Central America.
The immigrants are being taken into custody and released with paperwork to appear in court.
Border Patrols officials have brought in extra agents to help with the increased workload.

Good God. I thought you could just point a gun at them and send them packing? What a joke of a system this is.
Every three or four months a load of illegal aliens is stopped here in Corpus Christi, Tx. They apprehend two or three and the rest ‘escape into the brush’.
Why wouldn’t they surrender? Under Obama, ICE isn’t a battle-group, it’s a welcome committee.

A total of 71 unauthorized immigrants were apprehended at a stash house in Weslaco.
The immigrant stash house is located on Mile 4 ½, and Border Patrol, Hidalgo County and Constables all responded to the scene.
The unauthorized immigrants were present in the U.S. illegally from Salvador, Guatemala Honduras and Mexico.
Out of the 71 immigrants, 11 of them are minors.
Border patrol agents knocked on the door and asked for consent to search the home after getting a tip about the stash house.

UGGGGGH! I cannot stand when the media refers to them as “immigrants.
They come over the border and just surrender, they know Obama will do nothing. Under no amnesty plan will people in this country less than a few years be legalized.
