Sonic Drive-In and Chili’s Grill & Bar both issued statements Friday requesting that customers keep their guns out of their restaurants even if they have an open carry permit
Sonic is not a restaurant but a drive in. You are in your car what can they say?? How would they even know? Chili’s, never been and had no plans to be so no problem there.
Someone did something at Sonic to make them issue the statement though I agree with your statement.
For people on foot or wish to park their car off-property, some Sonics have an order-radio in front, perhaps a table too. This is about the only place I would see such an interaction. Doesn’t make much sense if it were people who had guns in their cars.
