Recent threads brought to light potential business interests Reid may have in and around Bunkerville.

Here is some additional information which may explain WHY these business interests exist.

Protect Nevada, a broad coalition of community and business leaders and conservation organizations, cheered Congressman Steven Horsford today for introducing legislation to protect Gold Butte and to boost the local economy surrounding this iconic landscape."the next outdoor go-to destination", "capitalize on our recreational tourism opportunities", "promoting Mesquite as the Gateway to Nevadas piece of the Grand Canyon"Congressman Horsfords bill mirrors Senator Reids Gold Butte National Conservation Area Act with protections for Gold Butte. It will designate a nearly 350,000-acre National Conservation Area (NCA) with 129,500 acres of wilderness on public lands just south of Mesquite. In addition, 92,000 acres of lands currently being managed as wilderness within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area will be formally designated.
With permanent protection Gold Butte and the surrounding areas will become the next outdoor go-to destination in Southern Nevada and the West.
We recognize the need to capitalize on our recreational tourism opportunities here in Southern Nevada and Gold Butte plays a vital role in continuing to attract more tourists to our area, said Virginia Valentine, president of the Nevada Resort Association. We applaud our federal representatives on this bill and look forward to working with them for final passage.
This is the first step in protecting Gold Butte and promoting Mesquite as the Gateway to Nevadas piece of the Grand Canyon, said Frank Pati, Mesquite resident and 2013 Nevada senior citizen of the year.

Do the Reids plan on a resort or other business to cater to these tourists?
Thanks Ray, will investigate.
Bundy represents all honest working people.
The government in this case represents lying, cheating and stealing.
Big government is slavery.

His friends have done that and then had Reid get the BLM to move an easement, opening it up to development - and BIG bucks, so I have no doubt his finger is in this pie as well.
Exit 112 off of I-15 leads past the Bundy ranch and is the back door to Bunkerville, 8 miles away. Between those two points there is nothing but the Virgin River and boondocks, yet a multi-million dollar exit was installed there.
Mesquite is at exit 120 and 122, and it is now reported that a similar back door called Exit 118 is going to be constructed. Again, this is all desert scrub and Joshua trees, so I believe something is in the works that will benefit the Reids and their cronies - or anyone willing to pay a "fee" for services rendered.
If you want the truth about ANYTHING reid is involved in just follow the money and you will find that it is lining reids corrupt crooked pockets.
If he can’t line his pockets he is not interested.
That will be a close kept secret such as Obama’s true identity and will remain untouched by the MSM.
