Mental health dangers and marijuana use As the national media spent a lot of time hyping the legislation passed in Colorado it spent little time in talking about recent studies that indicate pot damages the developing brain and may be one reason for the increase of dementia and Alzheimers disease in the aging population, particularly those using it while in college. Scientific research continues to connect even casual marijuana use with severe mental illness such as schizophrenia.

Maybe the media finally recognizes junk science and bullshit.
Google “marijuana” and “alzheimer’s” and you’ll see evidence that is prevents or delays the disease.

We’ve learned to ignore the mental health and safety risks of alcohol, so I guess it’s an easy leap.

I grew up with leaded gasoline and PCBs. Why should I worry about pot and booze?

Because it’s Conservative Dogma that the government must protect you from yourself. Apparently.

Those potheads looked out of it and stupid when Water’s World did the interview with them on Fox. None seemed to be ambitious. They just wanted to be in an alternate reality. Sad.

Since “Refer Madness”, people have said M&I, pot, refer, whatever is going to kill everyone....it hasn’t.
MJ makes people, lazy, hungry, sleepy laughers.
THC has many pain control aspects, especially arthritis.
(Don’t tell me it’s already on the market, useless you include doctors names who will prescribe it, because I haven’t found a single doctor who knows anything about it.)

People are going to do what they want and no law is going to stop it. The New York mayor tried to stop people from drinking large sugar drinks. Government would like to take control of your entire life - BAN E-CIGARETTES, TAKE PEOPLE'S LAND, TAKE PEOPLE'S WEAPONS, ETC., ETC.
Of course marijuana is not good for you just as alcohol is not good for you, hamburgers/French fries every day, etc.. Colorado can do what they want and so can the people. Every person I saw interviewed on the marijuana smoking day were already smoking it anyway.
Stop eating fat because it's going to give you a fatal heart attack. I know, outlaw fat. s/s/s

For every doctor warning about the dangers, there are 10,000 pushers/users claiming it’s safer than alcohol.

Google ‘X’ and Google ‘Y’ and you’ll see plenty of evidence of how marijuana solves all the world’s problems, ...
... especially if you’ve been smoking it.

Like I said, Conservative Dogma. Followed by bitching and moaning when they come for cigarettes and junk food.
