The left’s hypocrisy concerning campaign finances and billionaires in politics has been on full display recently. Since 2010 we’ve heard them whine about the Citizens United case, now we can hear them whine about McCutcheon v FEC. McCutcheon ruled the cap on total campaign donations unconstitutional, though it left in place the cap on donations to one candidate. The left is outraged that billionaires will be allowed to exercise free speech in the form of donating money. Meanwhile, have you noticed Harry Reid can’t stop talking about the libertarian Koch Brothers. They’ve become the boogeyman for everything wrong in the world. Clearly they’ll use Citizens United and McCutcheon to take over the world.

Real Change In DC Requires Campaign Finance Reform

Real change in DC requires restricting the franchise to married male net taxpayers who own property valued at >$250,000 and who have reached the age of 30.

Stop nibbling around the edges. Eat the damn cookie.

Besides, REAL change in DC requires a REAL change in the hearts of men .... it has nothing to do with money.

I'm a school board member rapidly losing friends because I repeat the same ol, same ol ....

Public school education has nothing to do with money, yet the PSBA speaks of nothing but money ... money needed, money wanted, money re-arranged ... money, money, money.

and Pennsylvania does not require American History as a graduating requirement .... world hostory, but not American History.

Real change will only come when the prosecutions for embezzlement of public funds start. So long as politicians can exercise open season on the public treasury there will be no change.

I believe a really good start would be a flat or consumption tax. This would remove about 30 - 50% of the lobbyists and campaign contributions (bribery).

The less favors that government officials can bestow, the less money coming into their campaigns.

Real reform would not get the money out of politics but rather get the politics out of money.

If the govt didn’t have so much control over our net incomes there would be less need to buy politicians.
