Wow, the ultimate blog pimp.
It’s your blog, your article, and your thread, but you excerpted it, so that we can’t read it here?
Not only do you sound like a liberal troll, but you are a blog pimp as well.
The first 50 years of the last century were quite repressive, not because of the core values involvng personal liberty of the founders being followed but because of the progressive era...
Family Hygiene Courts sterilizing people - Progressives
Re-Segregation of our military - Progressives
Constitutional amendments that restricted the people not the state - Progressives
Draconian Property confiscation of the Private Property ie. Gold - Progressives
and on and on...
Hey Now, Pimping Ain’t Easy
yep - pimping the masses. read or don’t read. your choice.
Sorry I cannot hear you I am too busy celebrating these good new days of homosexual bullying, government stepping all over our rights, turmoil everywhere we have had a finger in the pie, and lights at Wrigley Field.
If you want people to read it, why not post it here?
Why diss FR, and Jim Robinson’s preferences for participation at his site?
What’s “dimed light” mean?
I agree but only to an extent. I get tired of the sometimes ridiculous notalgizing on talk radio, etc. but every era has its goods and bads. And some of those wars were fought for principles. Even as these things were going on, there were people fighting to end slavery, to improve the lot of women, children, animals, etc. And as Maya Angelou says, “when you know better, you do better.”
You might find the book The Way We Never Were by Evergreen college prof Stephanie Coontz of interest, though I think she may have cherry picked some facts and figures to support her arguments.
Do yourself a favor and read the post I’m linking here.
While you’re reading it, bear in mind that the guy who wrote it owns this website.

Yeah, the Good Old Days were never really that good at all. Today, things are just ducky in Obama's America! We have a permanent recession, an emerging police state and rogue states on the march, and an opposition whose leaders are afraid of their own shadows.
I'll post a link to the rest of my reply.
It’s Hard Out There For a Pimp.
Now THAT’S a song that wouldn’t have been nominated for an A ademy Award in the good old days, even if Andy Williams sang it.
(Might as well drag out all the oldies!)
