The Common Core State Standard Initiative is meeting rejection by parents as more learn about the “data mining” of students personal information. Some politicians are listening as evidenced by Indiana’s recent vote to back out of the federally imposed curriculum and testing.

I heard a panel discussion on the internet last week. . .Frances Swaggart with an attorney, educators, etc. on the common core. One teacher on the panel said that the Indiana standards are more of the same (a renowned professor investigated them thoroughly. .can’t remember the name). Parents need to do their homework in Indiana.

Illinois continues to be mired in the whole initiative of data mining. Came across this site

Why the virus alert for the Examiner? Does the site actually have an infection?

Common Core will get killed after the Standford and state level tests that start this week and next around the country.
When parents see kids who did above average last year get low marks this year, and in some school districts, get told they can’t graduate or move on to high school without summer school - millions of parents will rise up and strike this beast down.

There is still the huge data base being developed . . . . I think that was the real intent.

Actually Examiner is listed as the 36th most watched site on the Internet in its category and does not have any viruses or malware connected with it.

It is sad that someone is lying about Examiner, a site that provides a place for many writers to publish their work.

It does not contain any viruses and is one of the most interesting sites on the Internet. It is associated with Getty photos, also one of the most respected sites on the Internet.

By accusing Examiner of having viruses, the accusers demean the Free Republic site which otherwise is a respectful site.
