You basically have the Eastern Ukraine swinging toward Russia and the Western area the EU/NATO. Their elections show this as does the location of their Industry and such.

EU wants all Ukraine...the East has the most Industrial areas as well as South. Without these two areas Ukraine has nothing to offer the EU apart from their farming...which the EU wants also trade in...and would likely settle for should Russia move inland.

Ukraine, as I see it, will not become a part of the EU more than Politically and perhaps trade deals. It will remain neutral if Russia doesn't go inland....

Basically the EU doesn't want, nor is it willing to absorb the Ukrainians massive debt, nor the massive corruption known and practiced throughout Ukraine's politics... neither does the US. The most they can expect is ‘assistance’, but it will be a very long haul for Ukraine to become much more than it has been.

This type of corruption has long been a part of Ukraine's Governance and ripe within all the Governemnet afairs....this time they got caught....but the stage is being already set for this to continue...
