Richard Stearns and his ilk should be fired immediately.
To: juliosevero
they can’t be trusted anymore.
they only did it because of external pressure, not because they believe it is biblically correct.
yup. don’t trust ‘em to be able to discern right and wrong properly. especially when they explained how for years they prayed about this and all the board’members thought it was totally right to do.

World Vision is brokenhearted over their loss of revenues.

World Vision has been tilting leftward for a long time now. We stopped supporting them back in the late 80’s - it was evident even then.

I suspect they just want to pull things back under the rug, so that they can proceed as planned when this little "dustup" settles.
Nothing to see here folks, move along (but keep those donations coming).

I agree. Their reversal of their decision was made under pressure - they are moving toward the “Christian” left for some time. I’ve cancelled my sponsorship and will not be reversing that decision.

This may receive more pushback than National Right To Life did when it singlehandedly forced the 100% of the Republicans in the House to lineup and vote for the key to passing ObamaCare.

The damage is done.
They revealed their true colors with their initial decision.
They can’t be trusted anymore. Not if they’re going to run by the prevailing winds of current culture.

A fifth of the World Vision funding comes from the U.S. government. There it is, just as I thought, pressure from the government and the desire to receive even more government cheese.

"World Vision has been tilting leftward for a long time now. We stopped supporting them back in the late 80s - it was evident even then." You are absolutely correct. I used to be a sponsor years ago, but I too noticed them becoming more liberal and I stopped supporting them in the 80's as well.
"...World Visions president, Richard Stearns, had said the move was not symbolic not of compromise but of [Christian] unity.
Unity with Satan is a house divided and according to Our Lord, a house divided against itself will not stand.
No one who loves the Lord should trust any decision these people make.

did they really? i do not get it... obviously they reversed it because of the negative reactionsthey received from their supporters... but didn't they realize this would be the case? they had to have put a lot of thought into it... they must have realized before they made the decision, and at least before they announced their decision that supporters in general would not like it, and would even pull support... they had to have come up with a plan... and answer for it...
and yet, they reversed their decision... to me it says that their initial decision was not based on conviction... hmmmm...
