Will Connecticut choose to ignore or make war against 300,000 gun registration scofflaws?

To date, a reported 50,016 people have guaranteed the eventual confiscation of their firearms by obeying the “Assault Weapons” registration requirements of Connecticut’s new gun law.

But according to a 2011 study commissioned by the Connecticut Office of Legislative Research it is estimated that more than 300,000 additional weapons have NOT been registered, their owners refusing to relinquish either their semi-auto rifles OR their liberty to Connecticut lawgivers. (Given recent record sales years that 300,000 could today be 400,000 or more.)

So in spite of the threats of Connecticut’s left-wing politicos to imprison those with the courage to defy unconstitutional legislation, the overwhelming majority of gun owners in the Constitution State have effectively told their elected officials to shove it.

And it’s this wholesale repudiation of unjust legislation that spells disaster for lawmakers in Connecticut as it will...

“Two wrongs do not make a right, ever. “

There is no “right” in war. If you don’t like war then don’t wage war. They drive us from our homes, we drive them from their. Got a better option?

An indication what a communists run State looks like. Police are no longer to be trusted since they are more gestapo like than servants of the public. We might call them puppets of the ruling class of communists like administrations. Connecticut is just a small sample of a State that has lost its way.

“we’ll be just as evil as the oppressors. “

WWII would have been lost using your strategy.

“Two wrongs do not make a right, ever. Harming the innocent intentionally is not an option. Regrettably, there is sometimes collateral damage, but we must avoid it when possible or we’ll be just as evil as the oppressors.”

Dude there is no cosmic universe where the American people could be as evil as the current oppressors. There is nothing evil about resisting tyranny. Its your duty.

In view of your insightful comment, there needs to be a website setup to track these incidents and see where the data points cluster—politically, registration-wise, etc. These scum need to be exposed one incident at a time, in substantially real-time.

Agreed. Those who think they win taking the high ground, will be the first IN the ground.

"I believe there will likely be a series of individual spectacular raids in several cities with lots of pyrotechnics and people thrown on the ground and people shot as a demonstration. Then we will see. I am sure Holder is behind-the-scenes pushing it pretty hard right now."

That's precisely why I said that the citizens of the state should have killed all the bureaucrats involved in taking gun information on the law's opening day — repeat until no bureaucrat would provide manpower for registration (also works for police/security protecting said bureaucrat).

The bureaucrats and police enacting or supporting such operations are what would be regarded as domestic enemies by any US military-man circa 1940 or prior.

I think this has been posted before - the comparison of this act and prohibition.

If not, let’s quickly review the bidding.

Both were pushed by a progressive/liberal/socialist cabal. Both were designed to cure a social ill that was destroying the nation and threating the lives of defenseless children. Both received heavy support from the media. Both were supported by legislation passed with great fanfare. Both bills were passed into law fairly quickly.

Now, how did Mr. and Mrs. J. Doe support Prohibition?

Remember that Prohibition did NOT deal with a constitutionally protected right; and the actual consumption of alcoholic beverages had been going down in the decades preceding prohibition.

Finally the minor criminals who violated Prohibition laws became celebrities and men to be admired; I will not discuss their collective impact on the society as a whole.

Now, after reviewing the bidding, as it were; does anyone wish to bet their farm that the response to this form of prohibition will be much different?

If I'm reading you correctly (and I hope I'm not) you would approve of killing the thugs' wives and kids. In war targeting such innocents intentionally is not acceptable, nor is it so in a civil war or second revolution.

If the kids are adult and armed, that is different.

Being outside an armored box is not protective.
Being inside an armored box is not productive.
They have to go outside some time.
Going outside that box to harass someone with a rifle just because he has a rifle is suicidal.

I would venture to say that they were the targeting of the city proper, not the women and children.

Right, because their families are not supporting them in anyway shape or form, huh? Get a clue.

Usually those are the same empty holster police that never served in the military and act like thugs that want to play soldier and dress-up to impress someone that they are tough guys.

I am beginning to thing that this militarization of the po-po's is an end-run on Posse Comitatus. "That's not the military, those are police!"
