The progressive left, headed by President Obama, loves to talk about being on the right side of history. Go back five years and these people talked about making history, now theyre talking about being on the right side of it. Putin is on the wrong side of history when it comes to Ukraine, the right side of history isnt entirely clear. Syrias use of chemical weapons was the wrong side of history, opposing it the right side. Supporting homosexual marriage and other special rights for homosexuals is the right side of history, opposing them the wrong. When it comes to American domestic policy, pretty much everything left-wing is the right side of history, leaving anything conservative as the wrong side.

What seems to have caused you to excerpt your own blog?
He just joined and hasn’t met you yet, Humble. :-)
Humblegunner is probably asking a question that several here might ask, and he asks it a lot. You might want to answer along the lines of "What's it to ya, buddy?" or you might want to think to yourself, "Hey, I'm not obliged to 'excerpt' from my own blog: why, I could go ahead and post the whole thing right here!"
Either way, I give you welcome.
Gristle for the Meat....
Dang it.
Beat me again...
Do communist get insulted when someone accuses them of
being marxists like canadians do when someone mistakes them
for being an american?
Then it shouldn’t be problem having it moved permanently to the “Bloggers” section.
Congrats Leo. Ewe have just entered the region known as Aries 5150 where HG rams his recipe for lambasting sheep down your blog.
Well-said, Fred! :-)
PS: BAAA! BAAA! BAAAAHHHAAAA!!!
In researching Lost in Zombieland: The Rise of President Zero, I had to decide whether Omeba was socialist, communist or something else. His history is muddled and much of it is hidden and confusing. Obama isn’t cast from a single political mold. He is a political hybrid, and a very dangerous one.
Omeba is a communist of the Marxist brand. Marxists are revolutionary socialists who believe that constant class struggle is the goal. Obama believes (and sees history) that class warfare is necessary to bring about economic and social “justice”. His policies are deliberately divisive and are designed to bring about the collapse of capitalism and the American experiment.
But Obama was trained in the Alinsky communist model to hide his true goals. He became a community organizer to slip into the political system, gain power and use it to create chaos. The resulting disorder fosters desperation, especially among the poor who suffer the most from the disorder. Millions flocked to his charismatic message for hope and change. And this is how he gained the power to destroy our society and its supporting economic system.
But there is more to Omeba: he is a black racist who is motivated by the strongest desire to get even for all the imagined and real transgressions of the past, for which he holds whites exclusively responsible. His Marxism is strongly influenced by black liberation theology, which he learned at Trinity United Church under Jeremiah Wright. Omeba sat in the pews of that church for more than 20 years. Even Oprah couldn’t take the church for long, leaving it because of the incendiary anti-Americanism and anti-white hate rhetoric flowing from the pulpit. Oprah could not abide the hate, anti-Americanism and racism. Obama flourished there for over two decades, got married there, and had his daughters baptized in the church.
Omeba does indeed see history through the lens of Marxism. He sees himself as being in the vanguard of socialist revolution, at the end of which lies the rubble of capitalism and the United States of America. In Marxism, the “revolutionary struggle” is everything. Chaos created opportunity. We see this in his policies as President of the USA.
This is a good article on Omeba’s Marxist historical viewpoint.
The flaw in marx's theory of history was that he believed the inequalities of wealth and income of feudalism and capitalism were moral equivalents despite the radical and utter differences in their source and nature. What he ignored was the fact that under capitalism economic inequality rests on differences in productive contribution, which contribution operates to the benefit of all.
It’s very simple, I did it to annoy humblegunner. It seems I was rather successful.
Because I asked a polite question (which you have yet to answer) you think I'm annoyed?
At the end of the day--it's very transparent. Omeba's destructive tendencies are really, at the heart of it fueled by feeling unloved and unwanted childhood. (because he was)
The only place he found recognition was in the movements of those formative people in his life--underground (at the time) Marxist movements.
He would have been a much more interesting character if he, instead, rejected Marxism as a sort of rebellion to these toxic whackos around him. Alas, that five year old boy in him is still seeking their approval on some deep level.
A very fascinating bio, IMO.
Nice textbook definition; too bad it no longer applies. I hope you're not suggesting that $billion dollar no-bid contracts awarded to political favorites are rewards for "productive contributions".
Rather, strike the $billions - how about the $trillions upon $trillions handed over to banks and other favored, connected financial institutions, with not one, single prosecution for fraud?
What Marx understood and articulated, is that the capitalist system eventually corrupts the state to the point where the two are inter-meshed to serve only insiders.
The solution is to be ever vigilant in upholding anti-trust, but of course, that is practically an impossible task. Witness the creation of the Fed over 100 years ago - the situation we find ourselves today with all pervasive crony capitalism was baked into the cake long before any of us were alive.
One thing about the progressive left they always keep you in harm way.
