During the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, the U.S. Army built 28,000 MRAPs (Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected Trucks). Now the U.S. Army has announced that it is giving 13,000 of them away, for free. Who’s receiving the trucks? Homeland Security and U.S. Law Enforcement.
Instead of mothballing these MRAPs, Homeland Security is evidently pre-staging a domestic army of militarized agencies, police and law enforcement.
While Police and agencies say that all this military equipment from DHS grants will only be used against crime, the trust in many American alphabet agencies has been broken – now that we know some of the extent at which they are using technology to monitor and probe its own citizenry. DHS and many others, they’re stockpiling.

Meh. It will be a prop at local towns’ summer “make a buck” festivals.
A colossal waste. The total number of personal we had in both wars at the same time was never more than about 200,000. The fact that they are giving away 13,000 already says it all.
Most Americans have been drooling in cups and watching dialing for stars or mesmerized by cars going in circles, while government for the past 30 years has turned most of their tax paid buildings into secured fortresses at cost of hundreds of billions.

Word to that. These little Navy SEAL wannabes have no clue what kind of cannon fodder they’re going to be. Yeah your little full auto HK sub might shoot out .40 cal pistol at 600 rounds per minute, but what good’s that going to do you when citizens with various long guns are lobbing large caliber lead at you from 200 yards or more away?
Obviously, taxes are going up soon and tax enforcement is preparing. Vote against fiscal responsibility!
And they just made a whole bunch of people in Connecticut felons.
I don’t want to sound dismissive, but a few vodka bottles on fire would send the people inside that thing running home for good.
