I know I've done quite a few articles on the devastating impact of ObamaCare upon America, but it seems that every few days, another bit of information surfaces that illustrates that the devastation will be more far-reaching than we last thought. Today, the Congressional Budget Office released a new projection of the impact of ObamaCare and it is brutal. Their revised estimates show that within the next ten years, nearly 2.5 million workers could choose to move to part-time work instead of full-time. This impact will mean that employers will cut out 2.3 million full-time jobs altogether. In 2010, the CBO estimated that ObamaCare would lead to only 650,000 full-time jobs lost. Guess those numbers are skyrocketing along with the costs associated with the Affordable Care Act.
The reason why for the change? Many workers are realizing that they can get subsidies through the exchanges working part-time or not at all as opposed to fully paying for employer-provided health insurance. This is the new normal that Obama and his progressive liberal cronies are working so hard for. They want people to voluntarily give up their work ethic and sense of individual responsibility as it's getting too damn expensive to keep up. It's far easier to stop working and let the government take care of you. Thus, Democrats are ensured votes for life as people don't want their goodies taken away from them. The only cost is their self-respect and liberty. But hey, only a chump works when they get stuff for free, right?
The Mouth of Obama, Jay Carney, treated the news as positive that it shows that ObamaCare is letting people be empowered to make that choice. He says, "At the beginning of this year, we noted that as part of this new day in health care, Americans would no longer be trapped in a job just to provide coverage for their families, and would have the opportunity to pursue their dreams." Sounds nice, right? What this means that every deadbeat can stop working and pursue their dreams of interpretive dance or creating post-modern-neo-deco-cubist sculptures on the taxpayer's dime.
This trend will be utter disaster for America. More and more people will stop working to be fully supported by the state, which gets their revenue from actual hard-working Americans. Those people who actually work will be squeezed harder and harder over time. Their numbers will dwindle as they realize that they're getting screwed. Why should I work and bust my butt if I'm not getting anything more than the guy who sits at home and watches Cartoon Network all day? As the number of working Americans shrink, the burden on them to provide the funds for the lifestyles of the lazy and deadbeat will increase exponentially. This is a system doomed to failure, but Obama and his progressive buddies don't care about that. It's all about control. Keep giving the masses bread and circuses and they'll happily vote for you again and again.
ObamaCare is killing America ... does Obama care, or is it his game plan?
