Maybe someone can capture the screen images of the Colt and S&W. I had difficulty doing so.

One police agency in Maine sold the guns that they collected and gave the money to charity. Either option would make more sense than simply destroying valuable property.

Except that the NAALCP buyback was done under the premise that their program reduced the number of guns in circulation. If they do not melt down these guns, then they should be charged with fraud and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. For every gun sold, the former owner should be located, and the NAALCP should be forced to compensate each former owner for the full amount which each gun was sold.
