Tea Party in Establishment Crosshairs
RightWingPatriot.com ^ | December 30, 2013 | RightWingPatriot

It looks like 2014 is going to be a big year for backstabbing and infighting. Well, I guess I really shouldn't say infighting as that implies that everyone is one the same side. On one side we have groups like the Tea Party, who are focused on vastly reducing the size of the federal government and curtailing the grasping tentacles of bureaucracy and regulation. Opposing them are the "other wing" of the Republican Party, namely the establishment GOP. This group courts the Tea Party types come election time and beg for donations to send them to Washington, but their true feelings have been exposed in the last year. The sad fact is that these establishment Republicans have no desire to cut back the size and scope of the federal government nor do they want to make any stands on principle. They desire to go along to get along with the progressive liberals found within the beltway.

Since the true attitude of establishment GOP types such as John Boehner and Karl Rove have been unmasked, conservatives have been pushing back. We know that the establishment national groups will not back conservative candidates for office, but now those groups are gearing up to spend millions of dollars to oppose conservatives. The US Chamber of Commerce gave a Christmas present to progressive liberals when it was announced that the group was going to spend at least $50 million to support establishment Republicans. Scott Reid, the top political strategist for the US Chamber of Commerce, said, "Our number one focus is to make sure, when it comes to the Senate, that we have no loser candidates. That will be our mantra: no fools on our ticket." The Wall Street Journal reports that Republican leaders "hope a less restive Republican caucus will allow the House to pass a farm bill and push ahead on at least incremental overhauls of the immigration system." Translation: the US Chamber of Commerce doesn't want small-government Republicans to actually get into office and enforce pesky things like border security and illegal immigration. Big business wants cheap, foreign labor and they're willing to buy seats in Congress to do it. Tea Party candidates need to go, in their opinion. Sentiments such as the sovereign nature of the United States where laws are actually enforced is an obstacle to the massive fattening of their bank accounts.

Not to be outdone, Karl Rove and his American Crossroads group are going full-bore against conservative candidates in 2014. They're following one of the tactics so beloved by the progressive left: creating fake groups to push their message and outright intimidation. In Kentucky, a group called Kentuckians for Strong Leadership is backing Mitch McConnell against conservative challenger Matt Bevin. The group is legally distinct from American Crossroads but the president of American Crossroads, Stephen Law, sits on its board and the treasurer is the same for both groups. This is a test run by Karl Rove and his cronies as they realize that their brand has been hammered by their contempt for conservatives. You can expect similar sounding groups cropping up in other states as establishment Republicans seek to pour money into campaigns propping up their fellow big government buddies, all the while proclaiming that it's not them and that they support conservatives.

On another American Crossroads front, they have been threatening Senate candidates that they will cut off any support if the candidate accepts donations from other super PACs. This is done to intimidate candidates from accepting donations from Tea Party and other conservative groups. This tactic is being used for both current lawmakers and those who are just running for office. This is a two-pronged attack as Karl Rove and his minions pour money into stopping conservative candidates and by also forcing candidates to run away from any support by conservative groups. They're like the Devil where they want to own the soul of the candidate one hundred percent. All of this from a group that spent almost $450 million in 2012 without a single win. Yet somehow the establishment looks upon these people as winners and advisors. Make sure in 2014 that you support the true conservatives and send back donation requests from the establishment GOP at their expense and tell them why you're not donating a dime. Remember that the postal cost of every piece of mail sent back (if they send a postage-paid return envelope) is a little bit less money to attack our candidates of choice. It's time to clean House....and the Senate.....and eventually the Presidency.

We’re in their crosshairs? The best form of hunting is when you’re hunted.

Well, I’m thinking there is going to be a divorce.
We need to get rid of the ball and chain GOP.
It would be good to see them go third party.

The real question is can they ‘buy’ Tea Party votes through constant repetition of negative ads.

My husband and I were cooking tonight when the Five came on FOX. The worst person on that show is Dana PeRINO. She agreed with the dems that conservatives were responsible for the shutdown. I swear, this woman is the most arrogant elitist little self absorbed shrew. Reminds me of a prissy Pelosi.

I hope her stupid dog Jasper takes a bite outta her.

This won’t work out as the GOP-E RINOS expect, and they will end up where the Rats don’t even need ‘em.

If the opportunity presents itself, try to take the painlessness out of opposing the Tea Party and conservatives. Let the chamber of commerce, for example, know that there will be payback.

And be clear, that this payback is not for opposing conservative candidates; but for supporting establishment Republicans *against* the United States of America.

That is, put it in terms of patriotism. Either they are supporters of “internationalism”, *or* they are supporters of America. They cannot be both. And if they are internationalists, they might as well start packing, to leave the US and take up residence with their internationalist friends, if they will have them.

Force a splintering in the CoC, they’re local at base. Not all chambers will be on board. I’d say a majority in red states outside larger metros are vulnerable to local citizen pressure.
