I don’t think Huckabee ever had it to lose.

Didn’t Huckabee once advertise himself as “conservative?”

Rove and the Huckster—they’re cut from the same Big Republican, Nanny-state cloth.

>>Never could sit through more than a few minutes of his show.<<

I never could watch his TV show either, but would tune in his (now defunct) radio program from time to time. During one of his last few shows, a bright lady from California (they seem to actually exist) called him out on the "Common Core" educational system, one and the same program that the ole' Huckster took great pride in being one of the initial "framers."

I was rooting for her, having somehow got past the screener on an issue that was an actual challenge for that dishrag. He would hardly let her get a word in edgewise. You could hear his voice get pressured, defensive, and I could almost picture his face getting beat red.

His (lame) defense was that the program CC has become, is not the "same" CC he and others designed. He refused to acknowledge that progressives have taken (his) initial framework to build the monstrous program it has become. He insisted it is "voluntary" and would not let her finish her comment that federal $$ is tied to implementing the program.

Also during the last few weeks of his radio show, he figuratively wagged his finger at the true conservative base (without using the phrase "tea party") for "splitting" the Republican party, thus insuring Democratic victories in the next election cycle. Something about getting a "little" of what you want is better than nothing at all. BS I say. Enough is enough. Maybe it really is time for the GOP to vanish ala Whig.

Fast train or slow boat, both D's and R's are taking this country toward the proverbial cliff.

"Conservative"? In these burning hot days of global warming, we all get to have our own facts and our own definitions, but Lindsey Graham isn't mine for conservatism.

Graham seems to have reached his level of incompetence in the hierarchy by finessing the Clinton impeachment such that Slick Willie's presidency survived and he's been cashing in the chips he won in that game ever since.

With any luck, SC voters will have had enough of this player and a single, strong primary challenger will rise up to replace him, rather than multiple choices to dilute his opposition and give him and us another term.

Should be a tough primary fight. He'll be valuable resource for the Hillary administration and they won't want to lose him to an actual conservative.

Hahahaha..you are funny! You just realized there are a lot of very fickle supporters who drop their support at the drop of a hat?

Or wise up and change their minds.

It is not God with the bad name.

It is the blasphemers who give the wrong impression and sorry reputation. Not all who call upon Him will enter the Kingdom of course.

This is what boils my blood though, the ones who are liars and the truth is not in them. Their false piety makes me vomit. It would be better for them to just admit how sorry they are and go on. At least they would be honest.

TWITS you say? The goober twits.

It is all about money really isn’t it? Spice things up with a little bit of some kind of conviction and sell the corn pone as sincerity? And so it goes.
