Progressive liberals are always claiming to be the most "tolerant" group in existence and they can be found jumping on any social bandwagon, such as bullying, but their bleating of standing up for free speech and tolerance rings false. The fact is that the progressive left is incredibly intolerant and unless you agree 100% with them at all times, the calls for boycotts, censorship, and firing pile on. Every single time that progressive liberals could stand up and defend the free speech rights of someone they disagree with, they do not. Instead, they mobilize their various groups to harass, bully, intimidate, and silence those they disagree with. Here are some examples that have recently cropped up.
First and foremost is the case of the Duck Dynasty patriarch, Phil Robertson, When asked by a GQ reporter in an interview about sin, Robertson replied citing the Bible and mentioning homosexuality, adultery, and others as examples of sin. He also went on and said that he can't understand a man preferring another man's anus compared to a woman's vagina. As soon as the interview went public, the progressive left mobilized and immediately declared Robertson's viewpoint as "vile" and "anti-gay." A&E then suspended him indefinitely from the show. It's a sad state in America when a man is asked his religious beliefs and he answers that question honestly and the result is that he is vilified. I hate to break it to progressive liberals, but the Bible does state that sex out of wedlock, adultery, and homosexual acts are sins. However, the left knows that to remake America into a progressive, socialist state, they need to destroy Christianity. They need to make every religious person afraid to speak their beliefs, lest they are destroyed. Phil Robertson isn't anti-gay as his other remarks have shown: "I myself am a product of the 60s; I centered my life around sex, drugs and rock and roll until I hit rock bottom and accepted Jesus as my Savior. My mission today is to go forth and tell people about why I follow Christ and also what the bible teaches, and part of that teaching is that women and men are meant to be together. However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other." All in all, this is the left's attempt to get rid of a cultural stone that most of America has embraced. The thought of millions of Americans sitting down to watch the Duck Dynasty crew work hard, have loving families, and praying together is too much for them to stomach. The fact that they're Southern rednecks just makes the entire situation all that more intolerable to the left.
Religious views also come into play in the case of Craig James. He was fired one day after starting work with Fox Sports 1 over the remarks he made when he was running for public office. James is a devout Christian and he expressed his views on homosexuality during a debate. Again, you would think that he has the right to express his views as this is America, but Fox Sports 1 decided otherwise.
Our next case involves CNN host Don Lemon. In this case, Larry Klayman was supposed to be on to discuss the recent NSA ruling (of which Klayman was the winning attorney), but the entire interview was essentially an attack piece on Klayman. The segment began with a report showing Klayman filing suit last year saying Obama wasn't a natural born citizen. (I am not an Obama birther as I believe he was born in Hawaii, but I do believe that everybody has the right to speak their opinion. I hate 9/11 truthers, but I defend their right to spout their nonsense). Then another guest trashed Klayman, saying that he has "delusions of grandeur." When Klayman finally got on the show, he came out swinging. He immediately called out Lemon's progressive liberal politics (which Lemon scoffed at) and the entire situation took off. Klayman was tag-teamed by both Lemon and CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin. At one point, Klayman was removed from the screen and audio before being brought back at the very end, where Lemon sneered, saying that he was giving Klayman the last word as "we're going to be the bigger person."
Finally, we cast our eyes to Reddit. It seems that a content editor on their science forum, Nathan Allen, has banned climate change skeptics from posting. Allen ponders why other news outlets haven't done the same (they do!). Hmmm....the evidence mounts that climate change is a scam of monumental proportions, and a progressive liberal deals with the situation by silencing the critics. Typical liberal response. As my father once told me, "A liberal is incapable of logical thought or abstract reasoning." I actually disagreed with him at the time, but I now see that he was a genius. Liberals cannot stand up to honest, open debate. That's why they call racism, bigotry, and any other mud-slinging adjective that they can drudge up. They'll work overtime to boycott shows, get people fired, and silence those who disagree with them. It can be Duck Dynasty or Rush Limbaugh, it doesn't matter. If you aren't in ideological lockstep with them, then you need to be destroyed.
Progressive liberals claim they love free speech, but the truth is that they only support and love liberal free speech. I dislike the viewpoints of progressives, but I defend their right to state their opinions. If I don't like what someone says, I'll let them know. If it's a tv show, then I stop watching and I let them know why. Progressives will call that boycotting, but it isn't. I don't deny them the right to have a tv or radio show and spout their opinions. I just won't watch them as I vote with my wallet. This is my expression of my free speech. As Americans, we should all stand up for our First Amendment rights, no matter what the opinions expressed are. Sadly, liberal progressives do not as they are anti-liberty. They are, in fact, the biggest proponents of censorship.
From personal experience: Progressive liberals are scum. Period.

Leftists do like to ban people. I have personal experience with this.
Scum can be cleaned up and removed, Liberals are forever.
PC has nothing to do with individuals. It's 100% political. If you're not liberal, ignore PC. It's not designed to serve YOU. It's designed to destroy you.

Progressives are Totalitarians, at minimum. They are ugly, nasty people.
Most Progressives saw nothing wrong with the IRS targeting tea Party and other conservative groups. They’d smirk if conservatives were thrown into camps. Progressives are a deadly enemy and must be treated as such.
