It seems that the crumbling house of cards that is ObamaCare continues to crumble. Every day, some new scandal is reported, new heart-breaking stories of hard-working Americans losing their health insurance, and legal challenges mount. It's so bad that Obama supporters are madly spinning lies in the vain hope that the public will continue to be fooled despite the curtain already having been drawn back. Obama has done his best to deflect the mounting criticism over his so-called Affordable Care Act by pointing at the economy, making a terrible deal with Iran that lets them continue enriching uranium, and embarking on a fundraising trip away from Washington, D.C. It's true that the stink of the ObamaCare debacle has gotten high enough that Obama has fled Washington almost as fast as Democrats are fleeing from him and the law they pushed down America's throat.
It is now being reported that the promise made by Obama that the government ObamaCare website will be fully up and running by November 30th will, surprisingly, not be kept. Naturally, the progressive liberals in the Obama administration are trying to massage this boondoggle by saying that the site is "sub-optimal" and that "it will work much better than it did in October." A rotting carcass may smell less worse after a month, but the fact remains that it's still a rotting carcass.
Another tidbit that shows how Obama rewards his friends and shows contempt for the rest of us is his exempting unions from an ObamaCare fee. Shocking, I know! It appears that the president has filed a rule change (doesn't Congress make or change the laws?) that exempts a reinsurance fee for policies that don't use a third-party administrator for core functions. By sheer coincidence, the insurance plans used by big unions are exactly that type of plan. Even more coincidental is the fact that the president of the AFL-CIO, Richard Trumka, and other union leaders met with Obama and Biden at the White House back in September seeking relief from such fees. How much would these union fat cats be paying? Sixty three dollars for the first year and then forty dollars after that. Wow. I have friends and family members getting a minimum of a twenty five percent increase in their premiums due to ObamaCare, but unions complain about a sixty buck fee when their plans are golden? Gotta love that entitlement mentality!
The Supreme Court is also going to hear challenges to ObamaCare over the contraception mandate. Two different suits, one by Hobby Lobby and another by Conestoga Wood Specialties, are challenging the law saying that it infringes upon religious beliefs by forcing employers to pay for contraception despite it being against their religion. Working against the Obama administration is the Religious Freedom Act of 1993, which was pushed by Democrats and the ACLU. The act states that the government may not "substantially burden a person's exercise of religion unless it had a compelling reason to do so." I wish I knew how the Supreme Court would rule. If you use reason and base your decision upon the US Constitution, the answer is clear, but since four of the justices are hard-core left and Chief Justice John Roberts has caved to the Obama administration before, it's up in the air.
Lastly, CBS News actually did some real reporting and exposed that the White House knew that employer-based plans would be negatively impacted by ObamaCare and chose to cover it up and lie about it. They reported that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service estimated back in 2010 that 14 million people would lose their employer-sponsored health insurance. That's a pretty light number as it is being estimated that up to 80 million people could be impacted. Another die, another lie exposed.
All of these issues surrounding ObamaCare are just the beginning. It's quite staggering to see pro-Obama pundits try to spin this debacle as birthing pains for something that will benefit the American people down the road. The real truth is that ObamaCare was never about helping people. It's always been about controlling people and redistributing wealth. It always was a fraud, it's a fraud now, and it will always be a fraud.
Rewards friends.

Since the Supreme Court ruled this a TAX isn’t there any enterprising Lawyer that can build a case against any exemptions being unconstitutional under Article I, Section 8, Clause 1 ....The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence[note 1] and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States....
And no re-election worries. Couple that with a Marxist agenda and have no conscience, and we are in big trouble.
OBAMACARE, AGW/CLIMATE CHANGE. It’s the same thing. Both when revealed are collapsing faster than THE FOREIGNER can say if you like your country you can’t keep your country
To me there is a BIG problem nobody has picked up on regarding the Obamacare disaster. . Many group policies include some limited life insurance coverage. Coverage that is usually good enough to bury somebody. The employer usually pays the premium and the coverage is usually not health underwritten.
Millions will be kicked off their current group policies and dumped in to the exchanges where they will be forced in to individual policies. When this happens all this life insurance will be cancelled too. This will result in people having to pay their own premiums or higher premiums, finding that life insurance is unavailable or a number of other headaches like having to have a medical exam before coverage can be written.
The only good thing about this is that some people may obtain more coverage because they are buying individual policies. Or, they may buy the right amount of coverage if they only had coverage on the group policy.
This, of course, opens the door up for Obamacare to get in to the life insurance business. Lord help us.
