They are never totally beaten. When they are ousted, ostracized, exiled for one or two terms of a Presidency, they plot, scheme and sabotage anything and everything within their realm of feasibility.
Relentless and unyielding, irrational and immutable, and forever diseased with a rot that consumes the human soul.

That is because they have NO LIFE outside of politics. They eat, sleep, breathe, live political scheming, 24/7/365.
We on the other hand want to get government under control and put to the back-burner so that we can get back to living ACTUAL LIVES. It’s as if we’re playing softball while they’re playing dodgeball.
