The beautiful thing about the ObamaCare Death Spiral is it will take KOmmies and DUmmies down with it.

One can hope.....that the low info types will sacrifice their DEVOTION to Uncle Barack...for long enough to look behind curtains and note what Obamascare hath wrought.

Seriously, what makes you think that even if obamacare crashes that what we are stuck with will be A) conservative in nature, B) workable, c) well managed? Also, even if obamacare ends up looking like and tasting like a turd sandwich to those that are all for it, they will never, ever change their support about it. infact, their resolve that Conservatives are evil rotten SOBs will be magnified, because it will be OBVIOUS that it is all the fault of the tea-bagger, bushhilter loving Conservatives.

As to that last comment - “the way to get this initiative to fail” is to just let reality kick its ass.

Geez, look at the volume that Amazon, EBay and Facebook have.
The most expensive website in world history doesn’t work and they had years. By next year I am sure leftist groups will be giving awards to the website.

I've been on MANY IT projects over the last 25 years. These clowns will take the current site down and replace it with a substitute. Same URL, same front page, but GREATLY reduced complexity - and GREATLY reduced functionality. They will then proclaim victory, and the press will dutifully report success.
Then, Øbama, the great illusionist, will move on to Shamnesty and those sycophantic enablers of tyranny in the press will drop the Øbamacare story.
Typical IT strategy:
1) Work on making it better, until the time or money runs out,
2) Wrap up all the code, and make sure it doesn't 404,
3) Proclaim victory!
Questions for Scarecrow Sebelius:
Who signed off on the project plan that called for no testing until the go-live date?
Why didn't you ever sign-on, and test the user experience first hand?
Who signed off on the paychecks for the consultants that were not delivering workable code?
Why do they and you still have a job?

He also explained that the site had two separate series of problems. One group consists of performance problemsthe issues consumers have encountered, like seeing error messages, delays, and crashes. The other group consists of functional issues, which are bugs that prevent software from working the way its supposed to work....OMFG, and we pay this guy probably several hundred K per year to deliver insight like this.

I think the game is already over. Enough people have actually signed up using the site (like the woman in Georgia briefly mentioned on NPR this morning) that any attempts by the R's to withdraw her insurance would have the media immediately switching sides. If they try to delay or kill healthcare.gov, it would only highlight the different fates of the states. Bring it on.
The state exchanges are a done deal. There are enough people in NY, CA, WA, KY signed up that they simply can't take them away again.
This DUummie actually has it right and is in line with what I have been telling Senators and House Reps for a while. Once you have them dependent, you own own their fate. And that is what the democratic party is all about. Controlling the fate of the people. They need folks dependent on them to stay in power. Add amnesty next? LOL. TOAST!
America has voted itself goodies from the national treasury to the extent that over 50% of us now NEED the government. Our founders, who built a nation that depended on the individual freedom, responsibility, accountability, work ethic, values, compassion and independence of good citizens would be ashamed of us. Liberals have no shame or pride in themselves. They are such and insecure bunch that their successes lie only in the equalization of all to their own level of depravity. This explains why they must force their own values, beliefs, wants and desires upon the entire populace through social engineering, legislation and cultural influence.
This is a sad time to be an American. Our children will have it even worse.
Maybe I'm wrong and all these Illegal Aliens will vote for Conservatives once the dems get them amnesty.

In that Tinkerbell world they live in I'm sure the gop truly believes that the way to get this healthcare initiative to fail-----is just a matter of REALLY believing---and clapping REALLY hard! That is hilarious especially when everything they do that ultimately fails they blame on Repubs for "not believing in it".

A system which has been so badly and visibly botched will never be trusted by the users no matter what has been done to fix it. 1959 Edsels didn’t sell as well as the 1958 model.

Just think, if the 0bamacare website had worked flawlessly, EVERYONE WOULD BE B!TCHING ABOUT THEIR POLICY RATES. So they had to put the emphasis on the site not working first so that when it got fixed, people would be raving about how great the website works instead of the rates! LOL! The actual furor over policy rates is just a "can kicked down the road" so says the great King. LOL Policy rates?? WHO CARES.. THE WEBSITE WORKS, YAY!!!!
This is PSYCH OPS, 101.

This is what happens when you have a narcissist in charge. Even if the geniuses designing this thing had said it wasn't ready, 0bama wouldn't delay it, his "signature legislation" had to go by Oct 3.
It's always about him.

why isn't Obama leading? I can't believe someone actually asked this question. At no time during his half-century on earth has he shown even an inkling of leadership ability or even a willingness to lead. The fact that he worked as a lecturer at the University of Chicago for 12 years without once getting a promotion to Associate Professor should tell you all you need to know about his ability to do anything. And he follows that up by becoming a perpetual vote for 'Present' in his legislative gigs. Why isn't Obama leading? This is the same guy that can't even speak to a 5th grade class without using TWO teleprompters.
