I recently attended St. Sylvia’s in Tivoli NY. The church has not been wreckovated other than the risen Christ (statue) has replaced the crucifix over the main altar.

This is on topic becuase Dorothy Day attended mass here and there is a pocket of communism in the town.

Thank you, I got you on.

a pocket of communism

A question can be posed: what of civilized American Communism of earlier 20 century? They did not seem the bunch likely to shoot priests in accordance to some bureaucratic criminal code of their own invention. I think, communism is like a bacterium that is present in many people without causing them to become sick; and then if it finds an intestinal culture it can parasitize upon, it develops into an illness; the outward symptoms of the illness will vary, because the actual illness will be a synthesis of the communist bacterium and the culture it devours. So American Left today, are in the process of destroying the American nation and as they do, they also adapt to it. The end result is the same: a violent extermination of the religious, sexually continent and creative class, but the roads to hell are different. This is why American Left in the 20 c. and today are often well-meaning non-violent people, not at all like the NKVD executioners. They -- the Nice Left, that is, -- will be the first shot if their ideas succeed.
