I’m considering a career change.
I’ve applied for the position of Undersecretary In Charge Of Water Fountain Handle Removal And Replacement.
I hear there’s a “Black Budget” line item for this job that puts it in the mid six-figure range.

as per usual, i had to look up what you posted to see if it was real or satire, turns out the Anti-deficiency Act is real and the scumbag DID violate it!!
I was assured that the President's authority superseded a rigid adherence to the statutory text.
and i have NO doubt that is true also...
the RATS are criminals ALL!!!

I will grant that the text of the statute would appear to prohibit the actions I authorized, Jarvis admitted. However, I discussed this matter with officials at the White House and Secretary Jewell. I was assured that the President's authority superseded a rigid adherence to the statutory text. We don't need no steenkin' laws, we are above the law... we ARE the law!

An overlooked rationale for aggressively shutting down NPS sites according to Jarvis was the threat of terrorism.
If we left these sites open and unbarricaded they could've easily fallen into the hands of terrorists, Jarvis contended. As we saw, octogenarians were able to penetrate the perimeters we tried to establish. Imagine how much worse it could've been if, instead, al-Qaeda had chosen this occasion to seize these sites. In conclusion, Ted Cruz took the strawberries, and was aided by Mike Lee and Sarah Palin!"

One of the benefits is that job is obviously considered essential and you will not get furloughed when those anarchist TEA Partiers shut down the government again.

HIs actions and everyone that followed his orders is proof that there are many in government employment that will do whatever they are told to do, and gladly.

“President Obama created and awarded a Presidential Medal of Honor to Jarvis for his heroic actions during the just concluded shutdown crisis.”
I bet that will happen!

When we are all dead and gone, I would love to see General Patton’s conversation with worthless pukes like Jarvis and his master 0bama.

This line nails the whole flunky attitude in this administration:
However, I discussed this matter with officials at the White House and Secretary Jewell. I was assured that the President's authority superseded a rigid adherence to the statutory text.
Nice job, John!

Bingo. We are not a nation of laws, but a nation of men and these men are corrupt as Sodom is to Gomorrah.

I would love to live in your head for a week or so. What a delightful place it must be. This piece is quintessential Semmens. You have achieved the truly satirical, poking fun at fools by simply reflecting their words and actions. Nothing overdrawn, nothing exaggerated. Beautifully constructed.

I would like to see John Semmon’s take on Patton's attack on U.S. citizen vets marching in Washington D.C. as the future general led the military troops and used the side of his saber to strike citizens.
