OPT OUT of ObamaCare’s Government Run Exchanges
Coach is Right ^ | 10/6/13 | Doug Book

Don’t want to become a lifelong statistic of the Democrat Party’s Affordable Care Act? The Citizen’s Council for Health Freedom (CCHF) has created an ObamaCare Exchange Opt-Out form which can be emailed directly to the federal Healthcare.gov website.

“I declare that I am opting out of any and all participation in the national Obamacare Exchange system.”

And the stated reasons should cause every American to question both the legitimacy of the Affordable Care Act and the true intent of its authors.

It begins with the question of privacy:

“Without my consent, the Exchange will...

Why would ‘homeland security’ want your medical records? To finish out the government’s goal of collecting any and all information about the citizens, to better control them.

If you ever took xanax, you won’t get a gun permit. That’s why.

From what I have read recently, the LAST thing you want to do is formally “opt-out” via government filing.

You are better off just not signing up to begin with.

#1 - you are basically red-flagged if you are already in, and opt out.

#2 - penalties are reportedly FAR more significant when you “opt-out” as opposed to taking the $95 penalty for not signing up. (in excess of $4000???)

Thank you for referencing that article Oldpuppymax. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed against Doug Book, the author of the referenced article, and not you.

I find it disturbing that Mr. Book rants about the feds accessing personal information in the name of healthcare only to discover that the online form that he references for entering personal information to opt out of Obamacare Exchange is not a secure web page.

"ObamaCare Exchange Opt-Out form"

Also known as the "Tax Audit Opt-In form" or the "Enemy of the State Confession form".

>>> This is bogus — you should ask to have your comment removed.

first of all, my comment was prefaced with the statement “based upon what I have been reading”... recognizing that
I don’t know the claim to be factual.

It was a sign-up story about someone signing up for the silver plan, only to find out the deductible was 13k with a premium that was at least 3 times what was expected because of her pre-existing condition. As a result, she chose to “opt-out” instead, and was directed to acknowledge that the penalty for opting out could be as much as 4k against her tax liability.

Second, your suggestion about me requesting removal of my comment causes me to question your motives.

Do you really think you can ‘opt out?’ No more than you can ‘opt out’ of paying taxes. As abominable as they are, there is no legal way to get out of them.

This is not a good idea.

according to on person making this choice the IRS sent him an e-mail saying he could have a lien placed on property and car is he did not make his payments to ACA. Opt out is not an option and there are going to be a few people that get a big surprise - YOUNG people who elected Obambi.

“Without my consent, the Exchange will gather significant private data about my family and I, “under penalty of perjury,” and share that data online through the ‘Federal Data Services Hub’ with federal agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS), Dept. of Health & Human Services (HHS), and Social Services Administration (SSA).”

Is there a federal "Social Services Administration (SSA)"?

Hotel California Demcare??

Who'd-a-thought?

Another ignored reality...
Which is actually a good thing, because it will save the government (if it chooses to) having your Social Security number, ALL your lifetime employers and your total contribution to Social Security, create a great database.

Identify all individuals who have contributed little or nothing to Social Security and have been collecting welfare the entire time, physically fit or not.
Identify "residents" who are illegal aliens and living on made up or stolen multiple SS numbers.
Identify individuals who got on Social Security Disability after a lifetime of no regular medical visits, but right after making a visit specifically to claim disability.
Identify, thought SS number, big winners at casinos, while on welfare.
Identify welfare collectors in several states using the same SS number but slightly different name.
Identify future foreign citizens claiming valid citizenship when running for office, and possessing multiple SS numbers.

The possibilities are endless, and the database a lot easier to examine than the SS numbers of every resident who ever lived in the U.S.

GOTCHA!

The “sign-up story” you posted has already been pulled numerous times, including as subjects of threads.

True though that might be, as far as I can tell, as reported by reputable experts, the "penalty" for opting out increases each year until in fact it does amount to thousands$...

That is my understanding also (subject to certain constraints) but the original story was a widely circulated hoax.

Like many of you, I’ve grown weary of hearing most of the pundits and politicians pussyfooting around this subject. With the exception of Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Mike Lee and a handful of others on the conservative side, none have come right out and said what every THINKING American KNOWS!

The fight over Obamacare is about stopping the unvetted, unqualified, narcissistic megalomaniacal former community organizer and tyrant in the White House from bringing about his “transformation of America”. That phrase was and is code among his dumbed down and/or uninformed supporters for creating a despotic Marxist redistributionist Utopia. That it has failed everywhere it has been attempted and left misery and death in its wake is of no concern to them. The magic Obama can make it finally work.

One element that may puzzle some of you is why more of the wealthy captains of industry and capitalists – who ostensibly have the most to lose – haven’t spoken out in opposition.

Two reasons (there may be more):
1. They believe they will be princes in the new order, their lives of wealth and ease little affected by the distress inflicted on the us down here, the mass of the great unwashed. They really should restudy the histories of those who collaborated with other tyrants who, once in firm control, dispatched those who had the resources and intellect to topple the new “king” once the inclination to do so took hold of them.
2. During the Cold War, the head of Citibank, one Walter Wriston, was asked why his New York based organization continued to provide financing to the tyrants running the Soviet Union and the slave states the USSR dominated. He replied that it made little difference to him what sort of government these nations had and his only concern was “Can they pay their bills?”

The WWII era Norwegians coined a real world name for those folks: Quisling.
