Think you’re disgusted with the slime balls in Washington now? Take a look at this

As we watch Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz fighting to make the Senate live up to its responsiblities to us as their bosses, and being attacked by lowlifes like John McCain and Harry Reid as he does, keep some of these facts in mind.

The Democrats in the House and the Senate think Obamacare is so good for us that they are refusing to reverse Barack Obama’s bribe offer to exempt them from the “People’s Medical Paradise” known as Obamacare.

Records show that recently we paid $4,005,900 of our hard earned tax dollars to support the average Senator’s personal and office expenses.

Besides members of Congress, federal employees are also living high on our backs. Almost 500,000 of them make more...

AB Stoddard was just on Fox saying Cruz was not honest with his grass roots about defunding Obamacare. I am so sick of these liars.

I think the staffers are getting a free pass by us. They’re the ones who actually right the bills with senators and representative being the salesmen.

“I think the staffers are getting a free pass by us.”

Methinks you’re on to something here. But how can we put direct pressure/accountability on the staff?

The fourth branch of government, the unelected bureaucracy, often escapes criticism here but they are the most responsible for the direction and intractability of the federal government. They are THE problem we face.

There is no way to get rid of them under the current system, short of a massive defunding of government, which unfortunately would also be accompanied by widespread violence and civil unrest.

They've got thing set up just the way they like them.

Until last year, we “lived” in the WDC area for over 30 years. I have always said that if the average American knew of the excess through your tax dollars, it would be like the closing scene in the Frankenstein movie...pitchforks, torches and mayhem.

Why do you think that the Republicans suddenly lost interest in getting rid of it? And then decided that it might not be so bad after all? Their ox was no longer the one being gored.

Most Democrats and Republicans in Washington are corrupt pieces of crap. They mimic the worst criminals society has ever seen and nothing can be done. The ballot box just brings the next breed of corrupt criminals from many State levels. Government is not representing us, the people, but a self serving club. Elitist club and most are overpaid. Millions of Americans are reduced to poverty or below while these fat cats laugh. I'm totally disgusted.

The IRS is unable to account for $67 million spent from a slush fund established for Obamacare implementation, according to a Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) report released today. The “Health Insurance Reform Implementation Fund” (HIRIF) was tucked into Obamacare in order to give the IRS money to enforce the tax provisions of the healthcare law. The fund, totaling some $1 billion of taxpayer money, was used to roll out enforcement mechanisms for the approximately 50 tax provisions of Obamacare. According to the report: “Specifically, the IRS did not account for or attempt to quantify approximately $67 million [from the slush fund] of indirect ACA costs incurred for Fiscal Years 2010 through 2012.” The report also found several other IRS abuses of taxpayer funds.....more at atr.org

Too many Americans have an image of staffers as being fresh faced kids just out of college and innocently being snowed by the congressman they work for. The reality couldn't be further from the truth.

For instance, Charlie Rangel's Legislative Director is Reba Raffaelli who has slid back and forth between official and unofficial lobbying before taking a job in Rangel's office.
