New carbon emission rules will devastate the coal industry
American Thinker ^ | 9-21-2013 | Rick Moran

The UN's climate change panel is set to release a report next month that reluctantly concludes there has been no warming of the earth in at least the last 15 years. Fewer and fewer people are believers that climate change is man made.

This hasn't stopped the Obama administration from releasing new rules governing "carbon pollution" at new power plants that would mean the virtual destruction of the coal industry.

I heard Mark Levin talking about his last night on his radio show. He said we will be experiencing brownouts soon due to this human wrecking ball's agenda.

It’s MUCH, MUCH worse than that. It’ll cause your power bill to go up 50% to maybe 100%. Sure, some miners will lose their jobs, but EVERY American will feel the impact in their monthly bills. And lots of energy-intensive industries will leave the US, causing huge job losses. We are SO screwed in so many ways.

Countries like india, china and the whole third world will not have to do squat with these rules, it is just a way to take America down a notch.

If the libs are right and we are running out of everything, all energy sources will be used, it’s just a matter of when.

Coal, oil and gas in the ground are just like money in the bank.

As long as you keep control of said land.

In the meantime, until Democrats leave power, everyone gets to pay extra for energy products.

It's the U.N.'s Agenda 21, folks. I've been pronounced paranoid and semi-delusional by some members of my family and friends but my lying eyes tell me the Emperor still has no clothes! Using AGW and its CO2 scare to close coal mines is only a tiny part of the plan.

This article, plus the book it's based on, pretty well hit the mark. Things are going to get much worse I'm afraid.

"SUSTAINABLE" ENERGY

Conversion at many of these plants is so expensive that nearly 300 of them will probably close.

” As I understand it there are ONLY 589 coal-fired power plants in the U.S

more than HALF...of electric generation from Coal FIred Power Plants..go KAPOOF?

we have...to stop this!

No, we should let them inflict as much pain as possible. BEFORE the 2014 election. We should just be very verbal about what is causing the pain & who should be blamed.

Damn right. The Dynamic Duo told us right to our faces, way back in 2008, that they would be going after coal. There better not be a SINGLE complaint from an Odumbo voter when their power is affected!

It isn't going to stop with shutting down the entire coal-fired electric generation business.

Now the EPA can get cracking on fracking, which is absolutely essential to produce the only viable fuel remaining for electricity generation under the current regime.

Then Obama will proudly wreck the entire economy and bring America to its knees.

I agree. However, I suspect many of his supporters will receive “utility bill subsidies” to help offset their pain, while the rest of the nation will pay the bill in full...yet another form of wealth redistribution, I’m afraid.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls our climates.

3. The earth is a rock.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

You are naive if you think that's their plan. They know what they're doing. The objective is to control the people and empower themselves "by any means necessary."
